Hector watched Diana from a distance, despite the incident and being hurt, he kept being drawn to her. Staying close together on the horse all day was not easy for the knight. The proximity of her body, so fragile and small, with his, made the desire her so intense.
He wished he could sink his face in that copper-colored hair and smell her soft lavender scent. Hector has already been with other women, but nothing compared to the desire that ran through his body and mind.
Leaning against a rock, he wondered what she was talking to the magician about and why Diana was staring so seriously at her hand. Hector laughed to himself as he remembered holding that small palm in his. He was impressed how a light touch from her made his heart skip a beat.
Was it his impression, or was Diana getting paler and paler? He thought, frowning. No, it was not a guess. She was pale, it was clear that the woman had lost any color in her face.
Hector moved before he even realized what was going on. He ran towards Diana when he realized that she was rapidly losing consciousness. The man could not contain the anguished cry that rose to his throat. What would have happened?
Hector's hand supported Diana's head just before she touched the floor. Relief ran through his chest: he had arrived in time. Everyone looked surprised in their direction.
- Don't worry, Hector - Marcos replied, questioned by his worried look - It was the first time she used magic. It was expected. - Continued the magician, taking Diana from his arms. At that moment, Hector felt as if a part of his heart was taken away from him. Why would he have felt that? "She just needs more training and rest," assured the wizard, arranging Diana beside him. With his words and realizing that Diana was fine, the other travelers went back to their activities
- Magic? - He said, watching Diana sleep soundly, but, to Hector's relief, the color had already returned to her beautiful face - Isn't she too old to start studying magic?
- You're right but better late than never. Magic will help her a lot. - continued Marcos, with a guilty smile.
For some reason, Hector sat next to the unconscious girl, believing that he should watch over her sleep. Furthermore, Diana's peaceful expression brought good feelings towards his heart.
- I know it's none of my business, but it's clear that you're upset with her - said Marcos.
- Was it that evident? - seeing Marcos nod, he acknowledged it - You are right, magician. As soon as she wakes up, we'll work this out.
For some reason, perhaps because of the serious expression on the boy's face, Marcos chuckled a little. Not a laugh, but a giggle out of the corner of his mouth. Very discreet.
The two are more alike than they think, though the magician, with good humor.
