“Ah, I found it!” I yelled, “Finally.” I grumbled, absolutely exhausted. I threw my bags on the ground, and laid down on the bed. At least I thought it was my bed, I mean there wasn’t any stuff on it so I thought it was mine. There were two beds on either side of the circular room. The walls were made of stone, there were two wooden desks, and two wooden wardrobes. It was a very simple room. I rolled over and fell asleep.
About one hour later I awoke angrily, blinking my eyes open. “No I don’t want to get up yet.” I grumbled under my breath, stretching.
“Oh great you're awake.” someone said. I opened my eyes to see someone floating in the air, reading a book. I fell off the bed with a yell.
“Who the fuck are you?” I asked, still on the ground.
“Your roommate.” She grinned, placing her feet on the ground. Once I got a good look at her I realized that she was pretty hot. She had short, dirty blonde hair cut into a pixie, and sapphire blue eyes. Her hair was shaved on one side and the rest of the short hair was brushed to the side. She was tall too, at least a foot taller than me. She had a big grin across her face.
“You’re my roommate?” I asked.
“Yes, and you were sleeping on my bed, but, cutie, I left you there cause you looked comfortable.” I felt my face warm up as I stood.
“Sorry.” I mumbled, grabbing my bag and placing it on my bed. “I have to wake up pretty early.” I pulled out my schedule, wanting to find out what classes I have next.
“Why’s that?”
“No reason, what’s your name? Mine’s Concord.”
“Andrea, nice to meet you.” She put out her hand, I shook it skeptically. I stared at my schedule tiredly.
“Shit! My class started like five minutes ago!”
“Hah, in your face.” Andrea laughed, I flipped her off before leaving the room. Just before I left I caught a glimpse of her jumping on the bed.

6 classes, and what the hell is spelling?! Aren’t we in highschool?! I thought as I entered Homeroom. I saw Sylvia and rushed over to her, “What’s spelling?” I whispered, sitting next to her.
“You learn spells, what did you think it was?” She asked.
“I don’t know, like learning to write or something?” I shrugged, she face palmed as class began.
“Nice dude.” She shook her head in disappointment.
“Hi kids, my name is Mrs. Linette, I’ll be your homeroom teacher.” She explained. “Here are your spell books. Spells, potions, and your familiar training books.” She waved her wand and said something under her breath. The books floated over to each of our tables. “Concord Lance, you get those and a few more beginner books so that you can have some more experience.” I laughed nervously at my inexperience. Sylvia poked me in the stomach with a teasing chuckle. I got five books, while everyone else got three.
The bell was odd, it sounded like church bells, but it was the end of class all the same.
The next class was spelling. Ms. Delilah led this class. “Everyone sit down, now.” She ordered.
I sat next to Sylvia again, someone I didn’t know sat next to me. “H-hi.” she whispered next to me.
I turned my head. “Hi, how’s it going? My name’s Concord, nice to meet you.” I offered her my hand.
“H-hi, my name’s Vera, nice to meet you.” She shook my hand nervously. She had beautiful, straight blonde hair. One side was braided in cornrows, and the other part of her hair was pushed to the side. She had bright red eyes, and her eyelashes were very long.
“Stop talking!” Ms. Delilah yelled, “Everyone take out your books. Open them to spell # 1. It’s slightly advanced, but you should all be able to complete it.” The spell was a growth spell. “You are allowed to sit on the ground if you wish, but you don’t have to.
I sat on the ground next to Sylvia and Vera, “Can you guys go first, cause I’m most definitely gonna fail if I don’t see it first?” I begged.
“Sure.” Sylvia nodded, everyone was given an eraser to try it on. She held her hand above it, saying, “I lend you my magic, grow bigger, grow stronger, grow to the size I’d like.” The eraser shifted slightly, before growing two inches taller. Vera did it too and hers grew one inch taller.
“Ok, I think I got it.” I hovered my hand above my eraser, “I lend you my magic, grow bigger, grow stronger, grow to the size I’d like.” I repeated the spell. It glimmered and shifted, before growing four inches taller and 6 inches longer.
“Holy shit dude! That’s off the hook!” Sylvia exclaimed, Ms. Delilah came over to investigate her inappropriate words.
“Hmm, nicely done Con-” She was cut off by a yell.
“Woah, that’s so cool Bell!” Someone said across the room. I turned my head and saw a girl who made her eraser five inches tall, and 7 inches long. Although it was impressive she looked slightly tired and out of breath.
I walked over to her, “Wow that’s cool, how’d you do that?!” I grinned. Everyone went silent.
“How come you talk so casually to me?” She asked smugly.
“So casually? What’d you mean, I was complimenting you.” I laughed. “And why do you sound like an anime character?”
“Concord, that’s Bell Samson, her mother owns the largest witching company in the continent, you can’t talk out of turn to her.” Sylvia explained, whispering into my ear.
“Oh I get it, so you’re like a ritch bitch then, yeah?” I asked with a smug smile. A look of awe spread across the room.
“Concord Lance, principal’s office!” Ms. Delilah ordered.
