Him, Aqui, wore a dark cloak over dark clothing. He had black hair, red eyes, and pale skin. All of these features made him look like one of the more defined monsters. No wonder the girl had that he was one.
“No, I’m not.” he says, after he finished laughing, “But the actual ones will be here soon.” He held his hand out to her. “C’mon,” he says “We should leave before they get here.” She was hesitant, but nodded, took his hand, and stood up.
They walked along the beach, away from the direction the monsters had been heading. “...Who are you?” the girl asks, after a few minutes of walking. “My name is Aqui, what’s yours?” he replies. “Sa-Sa.” she says, then looks at him, “...I don’t know anyone by your name. Why would you help someone who you don’t know?” He didn’t respond, but she kept going, “Lo-Ta said I shouldn’t trust people I don’t know.” “...Lo-Ta?” he asks, “Is that a friend of yours?” “...Lo-Ta’s my sister.” she replies, then looks down “...Or was.... I don’t know what happened to her.” Unfortunate, he thought, But that’s not the worse that could’ve happened to her.
“Anyway,” she says, suddenly perking back up, “You didn’t answer my question: why did you help me?” “...I’ll explain to you later, but for now, we should focus on getting out of here.” he replies, dodging her question, “We’ve slowed down while talking.” “Mmmn, fine” she grumbles, “But I’m not letting you off so easily-”
She stops, the jerks her head towards the water. “Where is it coming from...?” she mutters, intensely staring at the ocean. “Where is what coming from...!” As he says that, he hears whispering coming from the water.
“Come... in the.... water....” It says. “It’s...not cold...” The whispers become louder and clearer. “It... won’t hurt...” The water begins to agitate.
“No...” Something begins forming above the water.
“Not...” It begins to levitatetowards them.
“One...” It quickens it’s pace.
“Bit.” It moves so quick, in no time it was in front of them, thrusting it’s knife at them.
“Traitor.”
