Chapter three:
When Alev opened his eyes, there were bright lights and loud noises all around him.
“Get me an iv, QUICK!”
Alev parted his lips to speak, but before any sound could escape his lips, the world fell back into darkness.
…
Alev opened his eyes, only this time to quiet and darkness, except for light reflecting on the other side of a glass pane next to him. A bit of movement in the corner of the small room startled him.
“Are you awake?” An unknown voice called from the dark corner. The voice was soft and deep and mesmerized the broken boy.
before Alev could find out who the voice belonged, his whole body began to shake as a round of coughs overtook him.
“Oh shit… NURSE!!!!!...” he heard the voice call out as the world melted away and he passed out.

They met near a park with the cool autumn breeze flowing through their hair. Alev and his friend stood, not saying a word.
Eventually, Alev’s friend broke the piercing silence.
“I’m sorry, Alev, but this, I mean us, isn’t going to work anymore. You rarely ever talk to me. Even though we have been friends since the 7th grade, I feel you're not putting the same effort into this friendship as I am.” Alev’s last friend stood before him. “I feel like I am just wasting energy that I don’t have, trying to keep this dying friendship alive.” The face of his last friend started to blur as he continued, “Which is why I think we need to go our separate ways. Maybe you should try and get some help, go to a therapist, or something. Maybe once that happens, you could get better, we could be friends again? I don’t know.” Don’t you see, I’m trying; I have been going to a therapist, but she just quit her job mid-session. She said that I was beyond saving. Alev thought as he fell to his knees. I mean, maybe she is right. I’m just bringing everyone down with me, so what's the fucking point?
“You're a good guy.” the man patted Alev on the shoulder before turning away. “Call me once you get some help. We could maybe hang out again sometime.” The man said as he walked down the broken path. “Goodbye for now,” he heard as the man faded into the distance. Tears started to fall. Alev sat there for a moment as sobs racked through his body. Time passed, and soon, Alev was silent once more.
Eventually, Alev’s sadness hardened, turning into anger and quickly cementing into apathy. Alev got up from his spot on the sidewalk and started walking aimlessly through the streets. He walked for a while until he no longer recognized the streets he was on. As he walked aimlessly, he came across a bridge. Alev stopped and looked down at the rushing river below him. I mean, I’m here, so I might as well get it over with. It’s not like I have anyone to say goodbye to... anymore, Alev thought to himself. Pulling off his shoes, socks, and nice sweatshirt, he walked over to the side of the bridge. He folded his sweatshirt and laid it down on the sidewalk, placing his shoes on top with his socks stuffed inside. Maybe there was someone else who could give them a better use.
Alev used the pole next to him to lift himself onto the cold railing to the bridge. His bare feet stuck to the metal beneath him. Before anything could stop him, Alev let go.
