TRIGGER WARNING - Character discussing death and committing suicide
Chapter 1:
Standing on a bridge with a cold, rocky abyss below, who wouldn’t be tempted to jump? Painful memories, panic attacks, trauma. These were the things that filled Alev’s life. Pain is all he knew. He did know of the concept of happiness; however, it is not something he knew firsthand. Until today, Alev didn’t even think he was capable of such a feeling.
From a young age, Alev was told that he would never be happy and that he would only bring those around him down the well of suffering with him. Out of fear of hurting others, he hid away in the depths of his small one-room home. In hopes of ending his and others’ suffering, here he stands now, hands wrapped around a silver pole, bare feet on the cold steel, daring himself to jump.
Now, little does Alev know that as he stands here on the seemingly abandoned bridge, there is someone out there who cares, someone who is capable of mending and loving his broken body and mind.
Alev stands waiting for something to happen, some sort of fear to convince him that this was a bad idea or maybe that he could turn his life around. When no feelings arise, he gives up. Prying his hands off of the steel pole, he leans forward, willing his body to be consumed by the tides below him; he falls. Landing with a splash, icy water engulfs his entire being in a deathly embrace
