"How is the progress in training of the newbies?" Ryushi asked a very tall, terribly thin man.
This man was a shadow dragon, like Ryushi. He had short, spiky black hair and red eyes.
"Souta, I'm talking to you."
Souta flinched, then gave a short laugh.
"Why do you laugh off your ass?" Ryushi sighed, leaning his head on his hand.
"Bakei fell in cow's shit" explained Souta. "In short version, there is no progress."
"Well, so I have to send off you and Yori as well" said Ryushi, standing up. "Yori, give me the keys."
Yori, a dragon, who was only a little shorter than Souta and he didn't look like a malnourished child, looked at Ryushi. His blue eyes were hiding behind his azure bang.
Yori smiled a little.
"Keys to the dungeon, right?" he stood up and gave Ryushi a bunch of keys. "Do you think that it's a good idea? You should be careful. He's a dangerous person."
"That's why I keep him in the dungeon" Ryushi spung the keys on his finger. "By the way, you and Souta will babysit him."
"We?" Yori was confused. "Why?"
"I have more interesting things to do than babysitting a stupid chimera" said Ryushi. "Besides that, you're an ice dragon. Souta is a shadow dragon. You'll be okay."
Ryushi went down to the dungeon and lit up a torch. He saw the chimera sleeping in ice dome flooded with a magic elixir. The shadow dragon didn't play in gently waking up the prisoner. He kicked the dome and it broke immediately. The potion spilled onto the floor and the chimera fell. Then he sat down and looked around the dungeon.
"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" asked Ryushi, even if he didn't care. "Did you, Yayouji?"
Yayouji straightened the wet black hair that fell over his face and looked Ryushi with his red eyes.
It was actually fun for the shadow dragon. Kidnapping patients from the mental asylum in the middle of the night and throwing them into the dungeon. Ryushi remembered their names. He remembered their stories. He remembered everything.
But he hadn't kidnapped anyone for a long time and he had this one madman among the living patients from the asylum. A chimera named Yayouji who once attempted to kill his beloved.
In fact, it was the only thing that disgusted Ryushi about this creature. How could he feel anything for anyone?
"Get up. I have a task for you" said Ryushi.
Yayouji stood up hesitantly.
"You have to find the light dragon. Blonde hair, right eye is green, left eye is golden. He's slim and short. He looks like a woman."
"I want to find Shokai" mumbled Yayouji.
Ryushi smiled meanly.
"He's with Shokai now" he said. "Dry up and go. And bring him to me alive or I'll cut off your head."
Yayouji nodded then he climbed the stairs with a slightly numb step, then closed the dungeon door.
Ryushi didn't know what Shokai looks like or if the werewolf seriously met the light dragon. But he knew that because of Sadori's bad luck, Yayouji will find them sooner of later.
The shadow dragon smiled to himself and returned to his room. He has dropped the bait, time to catch a fish. After all, the reward is great. Ayame Kessho will be his at all costs. Even if he had to sacrifice Souta and Yori. Nobody can take away from him what, after all, belongs to him. Who else would use this artifact so well? Who else will cut down all these unnecessary species? No one. And that's why he, Ryushi, should get Ayame Kessho. And no one, not even Sadori, can stop him.
