Akari was not sure how she got on a scooter and driving it at a frantic high speed on a road whose side was covered with high rise glass building an endless maze of buildings, she was chasing someone and at that moment she realised it was Nicole. As soon it stuck to her that she was chasing Nicole, she tried to push full-throttle and reach her but for some reason, the distance between them was growing. Akari was desperately trying to grab and stop her, she even tried calling Nicole out loud and just like always she ignored her. Nicole seems to be in a hurry she was hastily driving and taking turns. Akari was finding it hard to keep Nicole in her sight and suddenly Nicole took another turn and disappeared in thin air. Akari reached the point where she saw Nicole disappearing and was immediately engulfed by loss and pain. A faint sound of someone knocking on the door freed Akari from her dream prison. Akari opened her eyes and realised that she was dreaming about Nicole again, tears rolled down her face as she lay on her bed staring at the ceiling completely blank, devoid of any thought or anything that could have made her feel alive, the only thing that ensures Akari that she is still alive is a pain, pain which never leaves her and had become her companion.
The knock-on door is becoming louder by the minute and has grown to a point that Akari can hear her neighbours opening door to look out for the source. Akari scummed and get up to answer the door. She found that the person knocking on the door was the same teenage girl who was pursuing Akari to take up her case. Her best friend was missing and Akari remembered, the girl mentioned that her friend's family and police were just viewing this as a teenage mood swing and nothing suspicious in her disappearance. As soon as Akari saw the girl on her door she turned back inside without either closing the door or saying something to her because by this time Akari had realised that no matter what she says to this girl she will not rest until she blabbers her theories at least once in front of Akari.
The girl entered her apartment and was pacing in the hall and continued speaking. Akari ignored the girl and was grinding the coffee beans as fast as she can so that she can get on with her day and could shake off the dream chasing of Nicole. Akari was thinking this and thought that she did not even know the girl's name. Then suddenly she interrupted the speculating girl and ask her name.
"Akari: what is your name?"
"The girl: why are you asking my name, this isn't about me, it's about my best friend, Emily." with a complaining tone.
Akari thought what a brat, demanding her to take her case with this commanding attitude. She was done making her coffee and she poured it in a mug and without taking anything else or saying anything she went to her room and close the door behind her.
