Onisakura narrowed her eyes as she drew the arrow on the bowstring. This hare was fast as hell, but quite big. She couldn't miss such an opportunity.
At last she felt the right moment and released an arrow that flew forward and pierced the hare through. The animal died immediately and Onisakura happily approached him and grabbed his ears.
"I'll call you Shin" she said and came back to a camp.
She has always named animals, which she had killed. It somehow soothed her disturbed conscience.
"Thank you" Onisakura put the hare besides campfire. "Where are your sisters?"
"They went look for water" explained Yakouchuu, sharpening the knife.
"Sabukai got back already?"
"Yes, he hunted a roe" replied noctiluca.
"Why a roe?" Onisakura sighed.
"Oh, right, I forgot that you have a sentiment for these animals" Yakouchuu stroked her cheek. "Don't worry, if you don't want to, you don't have to eat a roe. The hare is for you."
"I named him Shin" said Onisakura.
"Why Shin?"
"He reminds me of Shin" the nixie shrugged.
"And how you would call a roe?" asked noctiluca and she looked at a knife. "It's sharp enough, right?"
"Probably" Onisakura nodded. "And I will name the roe... Riri?"
"Why Riri?"
"It's just okay for a roe" explained Onisakura and Yakouchuu laughed.
"Bring her here, she's behind a tent" she asked.
The nixie stood up and went to grab the roe.
But when she bent down to fetch the roe, she straightened to her feet. Sabukai was lying next to her, motionless.
"Sabu?!" Onisakura jumped to him and she shook his shoulder. "Sabu, wake up!"
Sabukai opened one of his eyes. Yakouchuu came, hearing Onisakura's scream.
"What happened?" she asked.
"He fainted" Onisakura helped Sabukai to get up, then she threw his arm over her shoulders.
"Again?" Yakouchuu frowned.
"As you see" Onisakura looked at winged, worried.
"I'll be okay" mumbled Sabukai and narrowed his eyes. "It's just the weather. I'm okay."
"Weather" snorted Yakouchuu. "Oni, take him to the tent. Before he'll die here."
Onisakura nodded and helped Sabukai to enter the tent. She put him on a sleeping mat and covered him with a blanket.
"Eru will be mad" mumbled Sabukai.
"You hunted a roe. She won't be that mad" Onisakura smiled slightly.
"She would rather have healthy me than a dead roe" Sabukai said, hugging the blanket like a teddy bear.
Onisakura sighed queitly and left the tent. She sat next to Yakouchuu, who was skinning the hare. At this moment, Kyoukou and Kakeru returned to the camp.
"We have the water" Kyoukou smiled radiantly.
"Where is Sabu?" asked Kakeru.
"He doesn't feel good, so he went to the tent" replied Yakouchuu.
She didn't want to tell her that Sabukai fainted. It would be better if he tells her himself.
"I'll check the situation" said Kakeru and went to the tent.
Yakouchuu looked at Eru and then at Kyoukou and Onisakura.
"He's dying" she growled, stabbing roe's body with too much strenght. "He's dying like this roe and this hare. And he'll die and leave our Eru alone."
"Chuu..." Kyoukou put her hand on Yakouchuu's shoulder, but she shook it off.
"Doesn't matter. We have to make dinner" said Yakouchuu. "Give me spices from my bag. I'm hungry."
Kyoukou and Onisakura nodded and went for Yakouchuu's bag. What else they could do?
