Fumiru thought that Akinji's tent would be too small for four people, but he was wrong. Even fifth person would be okay, if they didn't look like Hiroaki.
The warden was sleeping well between Hitone and Sanoi, when he felt that his cousin sat up suddenly. Fumiru opened his eyes, curious about this suspicious situation, but Sanoi has left the tent already.
"Where did he go?" asked Hitone, who looked like he didn't sleep at all.
"I don't know. Maybe his physiological needs chased him away" replied Fumiru.
"You know that's not true."
"I know."
"What are you talking about and why?" Akinji yawned and looked at Sanoi's bedding. "Where's San?"
"He left the tent" Fumiru replied, digging himself out of the blanket. "I'm gonna go find him."
"But maybe he just went to pee" Akinji speculated in the most childish voice he could do.
"Probably not" Fumiru threw his coat over his shoulders and went outside.
Sanoi was sitting by a small pond and throwing pebbles into it. Fumiru sat down next to him and looked at his cousin intently.
"What's going on?" he asked.
"I just had a nightmare" replied Sanoi, throwing another pebble into the pond.
"It was bad enough to sit here now?" asked Fumiru. "If you want to go home..."
"I don't want to come back. It won't help" Sanoi interrupted.
"I was about auntie?"
"No" Sanoi threw the stone with such force that a few drops splashed onto the wardens' faces. "It was about my father."
Fumiru sighed. Wataru has never been an easy topic of conversations.
"Sanoi, listen..."
"I don't want to listen" said Sanoi. "I want to just breathe, okay?"
"But you didn't have these nightmare for years" noticed Fumiru.
Sanoi frowned. Fumiru knew, what it meant.
"It wasn't the first time?"
"No."
"So which one?"
"I have these dreams since grandma's death" admitted Sanoi. "Every night. I didn't want to tell you, because I didn't want to worry you..."
"But we've slept in the same room! How could I not notice?!" yelled Fumiru.
"You're not easy to wake up, Fumi" Sanoi laughed. "Go to sleep. I'm gonna get over it, seriously. They're my demons, not yours."
Fumiru sighed, patted Sanoi's head and came back to the tent. Akinji and Hitone looked at him with questions in their eyes.
"He had a nightmare and he wants to be alone" explained Fumiru, threw a coat on the ground and laid down.
"If that's so, we shouldn't shower him with questions" said Hitone, hugging his pillow.
Fumiru was almost asleep, when he heard that the tent was opened again. He wanted to ask Sanoi, if everything is okay now, but when he opened his eyes, he saw that his cousin still isn't here. Akinji also disappeared.
Fumiru looked at Hitone, who finally fell asleep, and left the tent.
Akinji was sitting on the blanket, patting Sanoi's head. Younger warden was laying on triton's lap. Fumiru didn't know, if his cousin is asleep or if he only has closed eyes, but he was sure that Akinji calmed him down. And young warden felt safe with him.
Fumiru returned to a tent and laid down again. Now he wasn't woried about Sanoi. He knew that someone took care of his cousin and he could calmly fall asleep.
