Yamiyoru woke up in the bed. His right hand was bandaged, his head ached and he felt a strange pressure in his chest. After a moment he realized that his left hand is held by two another. He turned his head. Shino was sleeping with his head on the edge of the bed, kneeling on the floor.
"Shino?" Yamiyoru put his hand on Shinohara's shoulder.
Akumarou blinked few times and opened his eyes.
"Hm?" mumbled Shino, rubbing his eyes.
Then he saw that Yamiyoru is awake.
"Yamiyo..." he whispered and sighed. "Yamiyo, please, don't scare me like that. And you have to tell me about everything. If I knew that you would suffer so much..."
"But I knew it, Shino" interrupted Yamiyoru. "It was my choice. And I didn't tell you, because I didn't want to worry you."
"You didn't want to worry me?" snorted Shinohara. "Yamiyoru, I almost had a heart atack! If Izumida wasn't in Sacra..."
Shinohara sighed.
"You should tell me" he repeated. "I would be prepared. And I wouldn't kiss you. I wouldn't do anything. I would just sit and watch, as you get pissed off because of me saying you're more important to me than myself."
"So you tell me that you would be keeping the fact that you fell in love with me as a secret, just so that I wouldn't fall?" Yamiyo was surprised. "Shino, I hope you know that I would come to you one day and tell you that I love you, right? I mean..."
Yamiyoru seemed a little embarrassed.
"Wait" Shino looked at him. "When you came here in the Winter, did you want to..."
"I wanted to, but I couldn't do it" admitted Yamiyo. "Think about it, Shino. If I came and I didn't love you, would I stay overnight just to keep you warm? I was worried about you. And I had a lot of chances to tell you about my feelings. But I'm a coward."
Shino was staring at Yamiyo's gentle smile and wondering, if it wasn't him who had been a coward. Shouldn't he notice that Yamiyo cares about him? As he thought now, he concluded that the angel had fallen in love with him, when Shino saved him, but he probably wasn't aware of it.
"Do you want some tea?" asked Shino, smiling a little.
He just wanted to change the topic.
"You know, which I like" replied Yamiyo.
Shino left the room.
After a moment, Yamiyoru heard a sound of breaking glass. He got up from the bed and went to the kitchen. Shino was sitting on a chair with his hand covered in towel.
"I cut myself" he said, then pulled the kettle off the stove and poured boiling water over the wound, which immediately healed.
"How did you do it?" asked Yamiyoru, leaning against the doorframe.
He was still dizzy.
"I'm a demon, so I need more warmth" explained Shino. "I can't burn myself, except with angelic fire. And since my father is Akuma, I have the ability to regenerate. That's why I can pour boiling water over a small wound and it will disappear. Useful."
"But be careful, because some day hot water may not be enough" said Yamiyoru, walking to Shino and hugging him. "And I don't want to lose you, Shinohara."
"I promise I'll be careful" Shinohara put his arm around Yamiyoru. "And you'll never have to worry about me."
