"C-cold" stuttered Shinohara, opening doors with trembling hands. "I h-hate W-in-n-t-ter."
Half-demon entered his house. There was a blizzard outside. And why should he care that his birthday was in Winter, if he had to wear three layers of clothers? He never liked Winter. Even when he was a child, he watched in horror as the snowflakes were falling from the sky and shook his head with pity when other children were rolling in white fluff or making a snowman.
"I'll freeze, I'll freeze in a moment" said Shino, covering himself with a quilt. "I'll freeze and become useless. What's even the temperature out there?"
He picked up the thermometer from the table and looked at the display, which showed that the room temperature was fourteen degrees.
"I'd have to get into the fire in the oven" Shino sighed and left the room.
He returned after a dozen or so minutes, still shaking. He was holding hot tea in his hands, but it didn't help anyway.
"I would prefer to get sick" said Shino, returning to a bed. "I could see how it is."
The doorbell made a soft moan escape from under the pillow Shino had covered his head. He only needed the guests.
"It's probably some silly salesman, the neighbor who never has sugar, or that stupid postwoman, who doesn't understand that 12 is not the same as 21" whined Shino as he was going down the stairs. "Because Akiyatsu and Amanoshi likely went to Hellmoon and they sit in their warm houses. I'm not allowed to do it, damn it."
He opened the door to scold whoever was behind it and to tell them it was too cold to deliver letters, sell perfume or bake a cake, but his plans failed, when he saw his angelic friend.
"Hi, Shinohara" said Yamiyoru, smiling.
Shino looked at him.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
"I wanted to visit my lonely friend" explained Yamiyoru.
Shino just smiled.
"Get in" he said, letting the angel in.
Because of the opened doors, he was even colder. He started to feel dizzy.
His legs bent.
After a short moment, Akumarou's legs buckled under him and he fell to the floor.
"Are you okay?!" the angel was worried.
He sat next to Shino and sat him next to wall.
"Oh shit, you're so warm" said Shino, hugging Yamiyoru. "Oh, how warm. I can stay like this until the end of Winter."
"Are you cold?" asked Yamiyoru.
"You even don't know, how much" replied Shino, grabbing his white robe.
Yamiyoru froze for a moment. Akumarou looked so innocent as if he wasn't Akuma's son. Is it possible that words of Akiyatsu were true? That we independently choose the path we'll follow?
"Stay with me" whispered Shino after a moment, closing his eyes. "Stay."
"I won't leave you in such state" said Yamiyoru, picking him up.
"You're seriously warm" mumbled Shino, when he was laying next to Yamiyoru in the bed. "As if you were my personal Sun."
"Go to sleep, you're starting to loose your mind" laughed the angel. "Good night, Shinohara."
"Good night, Yamiyoru" said Shino and fell asleep after a while.
