Remy felt stupid, and he told Jackson that too, several times since he's arrived at his apartment. He somehow got convinced by Jackson to come to his place. Jackson said there was something he wanted to show him. It wasn't till after he arrived that it wasn't a show, but more of a do to him.
He had already gotten the vibe that Jackson wasn't the normal twenty-six-year-old male with the way he dressed and carried himself. His loft reflected the same vibe. Everything gave off a new-age hippy feeling mixed in with light witchcraft. Jackson promptly corrected him saying, it wasn't witchcraft but spiritually. His place was spotted, with the same type of stones he wore around his neck as well as symbols. The expected art supplies as well. Remy was a little surprised that it wasn't just photography but paintings as well. Isles were placed along the large window, all of which had half-completed images on them.
"Take your shirt off."
"Why does my shirt have to be off?"
"Just trust me."
They were up on the upper layer of his loft. The entire space was covered with all types of blankets and pillows, only a small area was cleared off, for a short table that held crystals and other things Remy didn't have a name for. Jackson lit an incense which he placed on the table inside of an abalone shell.
"Incense is for stress, anxiety relief, and mental clarity."
He motioned for him to lie down on his back. The hesitation yet to leave Remy as he complied.
"You're not cursing me are you?" He'd like to say he was joking, but he wasn't.
"No."
Jackson looked around for a moment making sure he did everything he wanted to before he got settled himself. Bringing a few things with him as he sat just above Remy's head. Placing the items down in order of which he was going to use them before he scooted forward, placing Remy's head into his lap.
"Close your eyes."
"I'm not sure about all of this."
Remy was too worked up and untrusting in the moment to close his eyes. He felt weird laying there half-naked with his head in Jackson's lap upon an area that gave him orgy vibes.
"Close your eyes." Repeated Jackson putting more bass in his voice this time.
He could feel the stiffness in Remy as he laid there. His breathing was uneven and heavy. Jackson, clicking the play button on his phone, introducing light medication-style music in the background. The scent of patchouli filling the space around the two of them. Jackson tapped Remy on the forehead as he peeked with one eye.
"Now breath in for four, hold for four, and let out for four."
Jackson breathed in with Remy till he felt his breaths even out and went to a more natural rhythm a few moments later. He wanted Remy to relax. To be able to release what he was feeling in a nonviolent way.
"To calm the central nerves."
Jackson put a few dabs of frankincense on his hands, then started running his fingertips up along Remy's arms, clearing his own mind of any improper thoughts that crossed it as he touched Remy. He was human after all, unable to not notice that Remy had a nice body. Doing this several times over before moving to his shoulders massaging. Added a bit of ylang-ylang oils to his fingertips as he moved his touch to his face.
"For opening communication."
Jackson also knew that ylang-ylang was a popular oil to use in seduction, but that wasn't the intention he was using it for tonight. He guided his fingertips lightly along the bridge of Remy's nose up and over his brow ridge and temples. Repeating the motion over and over till he felt Remy fully relax. The shift in his breathing gave it away. It deepened as well as his weight on him, getting that drop he wanted.
Remy didn't know what was happening. He was nervous and worried one moment. Then he was deep breathing feeling a light touch along both his arms. This soft tingle flushed down his spine as the touch moved to his face. He suddenly felt light as a feather. As if when Jackson stopped touching him he was just going to float away.
Everything he was feeling in his chest was gone. All his emotions snapped from him. He didn't feel numb, he didn't feel anything, and that felt amazing. He laid there in that emptiness for what felt like the longest time ever.
Then the one emotion he had been masking the most came flooding back in, loneliness. With Spencer gone, he had no one left. His whole life ripped away from him. He had only been masking his feelings and faking life after their fight. Now that he was gone, he couldn't fake it anymore.
Silent tears, real tears, started to run down Remy's cheeks. Letting himself cry for the first time since he heard that Spencer had died. Yes, he had cried before, but those were tears of hate and anger. Mad at Spencer. Mad at the world for taking him from him. He had yet to cry about his loss. To let himself feel it.
Spencer, struggling to come to terms with who he really is at the core before its to late.
Remy, unable to have the one thing he's always wanted and learning that maybe his cards were dealt differently than he saw them.
Jackson, a free soul that wants to ease the pain in the lives around him. Getting a little more than he ever imagine to get.
