Their father was a warden and their mother was a mermaid. They were always together. But the most important thing now was a fact that their father was Saori's brother.
"Fumiru has gone already" said Yakouchuu, the eldest sister. "He took Sanoi, Hitone and Akinji with him."
"Of course, he hadn't left Hitone" Kyoukou, the middle sister, chuckled. "Do you think that they'll be together someday?"
"Shhh, dad shouldn't hear that" mumbled Kakeru, the youngest sister. "He still can't get over a fact that both of you don't see the difference between men and women."
Yes, only Kakeru was straight. Two other sisters were bisexual and Sora still couldn't fully accept it. He was tolerant, but was... a little worried about grandchildren.
The sisters looked alike, but weren't the same. Yakouchuu and Kakeru had straight black hair, while Kyoukou had slightly wavy and brown hair. The noctilucas could have the same thing as the nymphs - the hair that changed colour to the color of mermaid parent's hair from the middle of it's lenght, therefore the ends of Kakeru's strands were red. Yakouchuu and Kyoukou were slim, but certainly not as small as Kakeru. They were both much taller than their youngest sister and had bigger chest circumference.
"He should be happy, because we know, why he chose mum" said Yakouchuu. "Besides that, we also like men, so..."
"Do you remember that dragon?" asked Kyoukou.
Yakouchuu blushed and started to look at a window.
"Dragon?" Kakeru was a little confused.
"It happened when you were with Sabukai in Midomori" explained Kyoukou. "Chuu had a crush on a dragon, who visited our village. He tried to find Ayame Kessho. He didn't find it, but he stole our sister's heart."
"You don't say" Kakeru looked at Yakouchu, who seriously tried to make it seem like a window is really interesting. "Why I don't know anything?"
"I forgot about it. Later Chuu fell in love with Onisakura, so it stopped being important" Kyoukou laughed. "But she was talking about him for all your absence. And suddenly she got over it, when you came back and started to talk about how much Sabu's male point of view irritated you."
"Onisakura knows?" asked Kakeru.
"Yes, she knows" Yakouchuu sighed. "Can we just end this discussion?"
"Hi, noctilucas!" called the woman, who entered the kitchen.
She had brown hair and black eyes. She was also a little chubby and taller than sisters.
"Your mum let me in. How are you?"
"We were talking about Chuu's favourite dragon" replied Kakeru.
"About Sadori? I wonder if he found that famous flower" Onisakura smiled radiantly. "Actually, I was wondering if I should start looking for it... Do you think we could join Fumiru?"
"Rather catch up with him" noticed Kyoukou.
"He has gone?"
"Today" Yakouchuu replied.
Onisakura sighed. She was a nixie, hybrid of elf and mermaid. Or in fact elf and nixie, because that's what her parents were. And everything would be good, if not a fact that these offsprings often have been allergic to everything.
She was born in Midomori, but her parents moved to Aoumi, when she was a child. They had to do it because of her father's family. They had a lot of grudges against him, because he married a crossbreed. But Saito wasn't one of these people, who'd let someone hurt his family, so he took Yamako and Onisakura to Aoumi. Even humans weren't as much annoying as these murderous sights from Saito's family.
If she found Ayame Kessho... She wished all allergies would disappear. But is that a reason good enough?
"We should ask Sabu, what is he thinking about it" said Kakeru, standing up. "I'll be right back."
"Can I go with you?" asked Kyoukou.
Kakeru nodded.
The younger sisters left their house, leaving Yakouchuu with Onisakura.
There was a slight breeze.
"Did something happen, Eru?" Kyoukou looked at her younger sister.
She seemed sad, even her eyes were almost blurry.
"We're going to Sabukai's home, not for a funeral."
"I know, but I'm worried" Kakeru sighed. "Kyou, he feels worse and worse..."
"Is it that bad?" Kyoukou was surprised.
She thought that Sabukai isn't in such serious condition.
"He's weak and gets tired quickly" explained Kakeru. "We should go faster, I don't want to think about it."
Kyoukou sped up as her little sister did the same. She was worried for Sabukai, they had known each other since forever, but Kakeru was so much in love with him... He couldn't die. Not in such a stupid way.
They knocked on a light wood door. A tall, black-haired man with red eyes opened it.
"You again?" he growled. "What do you want?"
"We want to meet with Sabu" explained Kakeru. "Be nice, Akishi. You probably don't want to have another bruise under your eye, right?"
"Come in" he mumbled, letting the noctilucas in. "Sabukai is upstairs. He's asleep. He had a fever this morning. Again."
"Where are your parents and Shigeru?" asked Kyoukou, when Kakeru went to Sabu's room.
"Parents are working and Shigeru went for a date with his silly girlfriend" replied Akishi. "And I'm here, because I have to babysit my older brother. Good that he doesn't have asthma or something, because I would strangle him. It would be faster."
"Akishi!" Kyoukou was mad. "How can you talk about your brother like that?"
"I'm done with this babysitting thing" said Akishi. "And with you. You always come here to cause chaos."
"You should be queit, because, if you don't remember, Kyoukou is a dream connecter. She can give you a nasty nightmare, if she wants to" Sabukai smiled, leaning on a barrier.
He wasn't tall and he was too skinny. His blonde hair was always tied up in a ponytail. His eyes were gray, almost silver.
"I don't care" mumbled Akishi.
"And because of you I decided to try to find Ayame Kessho" announced Sabukai. "So he wouldn't have to babysit me."
"With your condition?" Akishi smirked.
"I can handle it" Sabukai put his hand on Kakeru's shoulder. "I will have three strong women to protect me."
"Four, if we take Onisakura" noticed Kyoukou.
"You're a sissy" Akishi snorted and went upstairs.
"Can we use Ayame Kessho to make him vanish?" asked Kakeru.
"I'm worried that we can't" Sabukai stroked her hair. "When are we going?"
"We can go tomorrow" said Kakeru.
"So tomorrow" Sabukai smiled.
They left the following day. They had to catch up with Fumiru, Sanoi and their friends. Will they succeed? Who knows...
