Many things have happened as Alec stayed in this world.
Kyle and Joshua adopted 2 kids, a boy and a girl, adopted lots of dogs, and had a fun life with one another. Joshua was the CEO of a famous company for years until he let his son inherit his company. Kyle slowly exposed himself less and less in the entertainment industry, but he was forever remembered by his fans.
As for Alec and Damien, they spent their whole life together even if they didn’t get married or made their “relationship” official. Damien stubbornly stayed by Alec’s side. He didn’t force Alec to do anything but waited with the persistence and stubbornness of a mule. He never cheated, never looked at anyone else but Alec. Alec was the only one who occupied his mind and stayed in his eyes.
As for Alec, he felt he didn’t deserve Damien’s love. He continuously challenged Damien’s love for years. He waited for Damien to leave so that he could reaffirm his belief that Damien didn’t love him enough and that he didn’t deserve said love.
Contrary to Alec’s beliefs, Damien kept his promise to be with him forever. Even when Damien’s hair turned grey and his bones didn’t work like they used to. Still, he stayed by Alec’s side until he couldn’t move anymore.
Damien laid in the hospital bed, unable to move his limbs any longer. He stopped eating or drinking, so everyone knew that he was about to pass on.
Alec held onto Damien’s hand and listened to everything Damien wanted to talk about.
Damien talked a lot about his time with Alec, like when Alec first started as an actor, and when he starred in his first romance movie. He even talked about Stephan, who Alec forgot about, and how Stephan deserved everything that happened for touching his precious Alec.
Eventually, Damien got too tired to talk, but Alec didn’t mind and held his hand. He didn’t know what to say to his lifelong companion who stayed true to his words and accompanied him until the very end.
Even though his voice was a little hoarse and soft, he tried his best to let Alec know how he felt. He always told Alec how much he loved him, how much he cared for him, and how he was grateful to have met him.
“Alec, I love you so much. Thank you for letting me stay by your side and being here with me.”
There were no tears rolling down Damien’s face, but he had the biggest smile on his face. He was content.
At that moment, the walls surrounding Alec’s heart collapsed one by one.
And it was full of regret.
He regretted not allowing himself to be loved by Damien and accepting it. There was nothing he could do to turn back time, but he wanted Damien to know the feelings that he had buried deep inside the walls of his heart.
“Damien… Thank you for staying true to your promise and staying by my side even if I doubted you.” Tears slowly escaped his eyes as he took Damien’s hand into his and brought it close to his face like he was going to kiss the back of the man’s hand.
“I love you, Damien, I’ve always loved you but I was too afraid to love again. I always thought I didn’t deserve your love even though you never once left my side.”
Alec knew that he, the Host, would probably never be loved like this again since he didn’t know where he would end up in the next world.
He wished he just let himself go and let himself be loved by Damien who clearly cherished and loved him back.
Hearing Alec’s words, it was the first time he had cried in front of him. When Damien's parents died, and when his siblings died, though he shed tears, he did his best to not do so in front of Alec. But now that Alec said that he also loves him, all the emotions he held in for so long started to pour out.
“I’m so happy, I’m really happy. I love you so much Alec, I love you. Wherever I go after this, I’m sure I will find and follow you once more. I will be by your side forever. I can promise you that.”
“You big dummy, I will hold you to that promise.” Alec hugged Damien one last time. Even though he didn’t know how true those words were, he couldn’t help but hope that he would find Damien in the next world and every world after that.
In the next world and the worlds after that, he promised to love him, so please, please let him and Damien meet again.
“I love you so much Damien, thank you for loving me.”
After that, he didn’t hear anything from Damien. The man passed away hearing the words that he wanted to hear for decades, and he died happily in the embrace of his loved one.
Damien’s heartbeat was no more, his limbs had gotten cold, but Alec still didn’t let Damien go even though the man had passed.
“I don’t want to be in a world without Damien.”
After that, Alec passed away too. He had already arranged the funeral, the coffins, and their place of burial together with Damien. All that was left was for them to peacefully go.
And so they did…

The Host ended up back in System 225’s space and didn’t say a word. He just collapsed onto the ground with tears in his eyes.
He was heartbroken and didn’t want to move. System 225 saw the emotional turmoil that the Host was going in, but he did not know how to comfort the man. He was someone who had long lost his humanity, so he sat next to the Host and patted the man’s back and didn’t say anything. He just let the Host cry.
When the Host finally finished crying, he realized that System 225 was next to him.
“Thank you for comforting me…” He should at least thank System 225 for staying by his side while he cried.
[You’re welcome, Host,] He paused for a bit, he wanted to say something but he didn’t know how to word it.
“System 225, is there something you want to say to me?”
[Yes, but promise me you won’t freak out…]
If System 225 was saying this to him, then it was something serious.
“I promise.”
[About Damien…]
The Host saw System 225 with a worried expression. "What is it?"
[Well, Damien is the God System. I wanted to tell you earlier but…] He had a feeling that Alec would fall in love and he didn’t want to ruin his relationship or interactions with the God System.
“Wait, Damien is the God System? That’s possible?” Alec’s emotions were all over the place.
[It’s definitely possible. You probably haven’t noticed this, but Systems are controlled by souls who have lost their right to reincarnate. Once they form a… I guess you can call it a contract with the UniOrb, they begin to work in the Command Center. God System, who also has a soul, is one of the longest-standing Systems. Once he became God System, he stopped giving Hosts missions and governed all the other Systems.]
Since God System’s soul was damaged, he had to go from world to world, body to body, to be able to heal.
“So there’s a chance I can meet the God System again in the next world right?”
Alec didn’t really care that Damien was the God System. Once he fell for someone, he fell hard. Any little flaw, trait, characteristic, etc., was glossed over by the power of his love… It was just how he was.
[Well, considering how possessive and stubborn the God System is, there’s a 99% chance you will see him again… and again… But...] System 225 knew God System quite well, once that man latched on to someone, he was never letting go.
“I am so relieved... I get to see the God System again!” The Host went into his own world thinking about how he was going to make it up to the God System, love him, cherish him, and follow him everywhere. He didn’t even hear or see System 225’s emotional turmoil.
[God System… he was supposed to be powerful and strong and… not like that!!!]
His image of the God System was ruined! He didn’t say this before, but when he saw how clingy God System was, how stubborn he was, how crazy in love he was with his Host, it ruined the all mighty powerful image he had of God System.
The host didn’t understand the problem System 225 was facing, but he patted the System on the shoulder.
He was excited to get to the next world so that he could see the God System again.
After his mental breakdown, System 225 returned back to his emotionless self.
[Host, I know you are excited, but you should get some rest. You have been there for a long time and should mentally prepare for the next world.]
“Alright, I will… and thank you, System 225... “
He was slowly regaining the trust he once had in System 225. He was sure, by the next world, the two would be like best friends.
[Rest well, Host…]
The Host laid down, thinking about his life with Damien. Though he felt regret, he knew that he had plenty of worlds to make up for it…
