CHAPTER 1 - The Boy Anun
4. Born four months after Noo-un came Anun, a young charming child who came from two tribes, Chalude people of the Leperean Nations and the Sovie people of the Ashio Nations. As the Chalude Tribe was viciously raided by the Adenians, killing most of the population, they were forced their country and were taken in by to the Sovie, the tribes of air people, and the origin of the tall flying bird, the Griffin like bird, Medito.
The nations bonded and the two kings of the countries became friends quickly. They helped each other out with all their works and eventually it led to marriage between the people, this included the princess of the Chalude Tribes and the prince of the Sovie Tribes, who bore Anun.
Over the years, Anun became great with flying and even had his own bird named Galaxy, due to them flying so high in the sky it's like you can see the galaxy at night. He even taught children how to fly at the age of ten, becoming the precious Prince of both countries, with his special gift from the Creator.
Everyone would praise about it night and day for the gift they have as a young prince. The country of Solvie is known for its bright and white colors, with usual blue skies and cloudy days that would blend like milk and honey. Anun's outfit was adorned with those colors, but...It was not just him who knew how to dress vibrantly, or how to fly high at the age of ten.
This other one is his cousin, from his mom's side, his name is Tei, and he knew the ways of the sky just as well as Anun, so they would always fly together after schooling, since Tei and his parents stayed with them in their castle, he even had his own bird, named Uni, they looked exactly alike except Galaxy was bright and vibrant, while Uni actually had the colors of the night sky on her.
One day after schooling, Anun as usual would meet up with the kids and their mentor to prepare to fly, so their mentor starts saying to them, "everyone, today will are going to fly a bit different, we are going to all fly together on all of our birds, we will fly high and enjoy the land below, so everyone on your birds!"
Everyone gets on their birds including Anun, but their mentor takes quite a while to start, saying, "where is Tei?" Everyone looks around for him, then Tei walks up slowly towards Anun saying, "I want to do something else today...I want a solo fly with just me and Anun."
"What?" You can hear people say behind him.
"You don't make the rules here son?"
"I got permission," he says cutting his mentor off.
"Tei? No, I don't want to fly solo with you today, we need more practice for everyone?" Tei starts laughing and then looks at Anun in a smug way saying, "so...You're backing out? Because you're afraid, too afraid to fly with me, what? You're afraid I'm going to beat you, and I will, maybe this can help with that warrior nonsense you kept reading on, because it's not going to help you win."
"That is not nonsense! That can help our fate to find out who's a warrior or not, don't make front of our destiny."
"Too bad, already did."
"Stop! Tei leave Anun alone, he is the prince, if he wants to be alone then let him be alone."
"So am I?" Tei says to his mentor with attitude, then suddenly Anun says, "I will fly."
"You'll do it? Sweet..." Tei smiles, happy to get what he wants.
Tei gets on his bird Uni and Anun on his bird Galaxy, they give each other looks, and then they fly away.
"Hurt his one stone."
CHAPTER 2 - Two Birds, One Stone
4. "Tei, honey, I heard you beat Anun in a race with the Medito's, we are so proud of you!" His mother says while holding him tightly.
"Mom...Not so tight, I'm not a little kid anymore."
"Oh stop, you are twelve years old."
His father walks up to him holding a crown saying, "you deserve this." He puts the snow white crown on his head, and they walk out on the balcony greeting all of the cheering citizens for the new Prince of Medito's, as they once called Anun. Tei smiles brightly at everyone and waves to the crowd with pride.
"No one has ever beaten Anun before, how can he let this happen?"
"He is only ten, Tei is twelve, he had an advantage, I'm sure he'll pick himself up eventually."
"He better."
Anun turns from them, saying to himself, "even the citizens want me to do better, who am I as a prince now when all they acknowledge is Tei?" Anun stands in his spacious backyard, staring at the snow topped mountains in the distance, with ships driving towards them. "I wonder, if those ships are made for me, or a job to climb those mountains as a hiker, because being a prince of failure will lead me to a failed king, I can't let this happen."
...
That night as they are having supper at the dining room table, Tei and his family constantly speak of him defeating Anun.
"I can't stand their smiling faces, as if I'm not even here, I get it, I was beat, but the constant talking and blustering... I can't take it, but they are family, my mother's sister is surely happy, and so is my mother, but my father isn't, is this some selfish Chadlude aspect?"
"Prince Anun, how much beans would you like?" His butler says to him, cutting off his thoughts.
Everyone looks at him with Tei smirking at him, "um...Just a handful, thank you."
"My pleasure." His butler says as he fills their plates and drinks.
"What, you blacked out?" Tei says laughing. "Tei, eat your food." Anun's mother says sternly. The butler looks at Anun with an 'it's okay' signal, to make Anun feel better.
As they are eating and talking, Anun starts saying, "um...May I be excused, to the washing area, I'll be fast." "Go on ahead." His father says, as Tei still smirks at him.
Anun, instead of using the washing area, runs to his room instead.
"Anun? Are you alright?" His maid questions. "Just in the washing area." Anun tries to reassure.
"Well alright." Anun sits on his bed pondering, until he sees books scattered on his floor, "the maids didn't clean my room yet?" He looks through the books and sees that Tei has left the books this way, "his book on Meditos, he did this."
But as he continues looking, he finds a weird one, a large one, that he keenly looks at, "the book of the Southern Island, wait...The book on the Southern island?? What's this doing in here?"
He starts to read it until his butler comes in saying, "Prince Anun, you must come back downstairs, everyone is...Hey? What is that? is that the...?"
"Book on the Southern Island, yes, who put this in my room?" Anun says, after finishing his butler's sentence.
"One of the maids," The butler says, walking up to look at it, then saying, "this is for later, come, finish eating first."
"Okay."
As they leave the room, the maid finally comes in to clean it.
After supper, the butler confronts the maids on the book, but they promise not to tell the family about it, leaving it with Anun, as he reads it at night before bed, studying always.
"Tei might know well about Meditos, but he knows nothing about his fate and destiny."
