Waking up feeling refreshed, Jimmy enjoys his early exercises and sword practice. Eating some breakfast, taking a drink, and heading back out on the road. The days feel longer while the sleep shorter, yet he feels easily in perfect condition.
[“You know. Maybe mana can do more.”]
[“What are you thinking of?”]
[“I can feel it. Mana ‘fills’ our body, but it does not ‘fill’ everything”]
[“I don’t get what you mean. I feel full to the brim”]
[“Pedal harder, focus on the muscles of your legs as you push hard each time”]
[“I don’t know what you think I am supposed to be feeling”]
[“Feel. Pedal hard, like you are being chased. Go for the gold. Pump that hear to a million”]
Pedaling hard, the back seat is beginning to wobble, tipping over and causing the bike to trip up and crash.
Tumbling a small bit forward, Jimmy only gets a few small scratched
[“Thanks me. Look what you made me do. Hopefully nothing broke”]
[“Look, feel your leg muscles again. feel what I feel”]
[“What, they feel weak and empt-“]
[“Right. You aren’t pushing your mana far enough, we can feel it even though we can’t”]
[“Well. Let’s take a break, and make sure we didn’t ruin anything”]
Pulling the back seat back up, Jimmy finds that one of the two rear seat wheels is now crushed- no way he can just fix it.
[“Gahh. A little good just brings a lot of bad”]
Putting what he can into the backpack, unhooking the rear seat, Jimmy sits down and begins his meditation.
Focusing on his leg muscles, focusing hard, he can feel it. It is not easy, but he feels that forcing his mana into the muscles of his legs seams to be working. Pushing hard, he can feel them being stressed but also calmed down- like a hard massage on a muscle cramp, like the muscle fibers themselves are being torn apart and put back together even stronger.
Several hours pass, as Jimmy sits there he opens his eyes for the first time. Drenched in sweat as if he came out of a disgusting pool, Jimmy reaches in for the jug of water and drinks all that is left.
[“mmgahhhh! Refreshing, warm water. I can feel it though. My legs, it feels like I’ve done years of exercise in a day- but they look no different”]
Struggling to get up for the first time, legs dead from sitting so long on the ground, he begins to do some stretching and lunges. Jimmy gets in stance for a sprint, and right on, runs to the next sign.
[“Amazing! Every step, feels so light. I would say I am running twice as fast…”]
Reaching the sign, Jimmy puts the breaks on his running to twist and run back- he gets caught on the ground, and flies a few feet on the ground, gaining a few more scrapes.
[“nggg, a few more scrapes- but this is better, my legs feel weak again though…“]
Standing back up, shaking his legs, he focuses on pulling more mana back in and shoving it back into his leg muscles. They fill up quicker and easier this time, not even breaking a sweat.
Walking back to his bike, he tries a couple jumps, and he stumbles a couple times- not used to being able to jump so high or far as before.
[“Just. Wow. Where else can this take me”]
Sitting back down at his bike, to eat some more snacks
[“I am running low on water, I will have to stop at the next set of houses or hopefully even a store”]
Packing his backpack up with what he can, leaving behind what can’t fit, Jimmy sets out now with just the bike, sadly no child chair for storage.
[“Even riding a bike feels easier- though is it because I dumped some weight?”]
Riding faster than before, Jimmy comes across another small town and rides into it. A glorious site to behold, a W*lm*rt right off the exit. Anything I could need, can be there.
Riding into the W*lm*rt parking lot, the door is closed. Pulling the door- it just opens
[“Wha-What?! Someone else here??”]
[“Hellooo?!”]
Screaming with all his might, he forgot that there is not even sound, as he kept trying to scream.
Walking around, looking for any other sign of life, Jimmy walks around tears in his eyes as his hopes begin to disappear. Some food here and there missing, some items here are there clearly brought back to life
[“I must have missed them… There is spoiled food here and there”]
Walking over to the exercise section, the several hanging punching bags are… destroyed. Holes just… punched through?
Pushing his frustration out, he lifts his leg and side sweeps the punching bag *BOOOMFP* The rest of the sand begins to pour out onto the ground.
[“OK. ok…. I definitely leveled up.”]
Walking around the store, Jimmy can see the habits of the person or people who was here before. Candy, tons of sugary food wrappers everywhere, chips, sodas. Not a healthy habit.
[“Not even going to bother checking the bathrooms ewhhhggg”]
[“Could have been ages since anyone was actually here”]
Making a stop at the book section, Jimmy grabs a book on human anatomy.
[“This should help me. Find more places I can improve with mana- a better mental image, imagination, seams to work better”]
Filling up his jug of water, Jimmy decides to also get a water bladder to wear on his back- this should make the rides easier. Some more food, and a small camp fire burner and pot.
Grabbing a couple beanie bags, Jimmy heads off the sleep- the softest thing he has slept on in ages.
Waking up in the most amazing sleep he has had in ages, Jimmy is sad to see there is no cliché of the mysterious stranger standing over him wondering who he is. Just another day to him, himself, and Jimmy.
[“Sighhhh”]
Downing some breakfast, Jimmy hits the books. Human anatomy is much more complex than he first thought. One mistake, it is unknown what could happen. Muscles twist here and pull there; some are even hidden over there- where he didn’t even know that there was any.
Sitting down, he begins to focus on the rest of his leg muscles.
Standing up after several hours, he finishes up, and feels like he could just kick a house down- but Jimmy knows he would probably break his leg while the houses to are frozen.
[“Alright. Game plan time. Huddle up.”]
[“What have you got this time?”]
[“lets just… take a break to become stronger. We have tons of food, soft bed- we could use the extra break from constant pedaling”]
[“Maybe. It does feel nice to just, be strong enough to break things by kicking so easily”]
[“Exactly, it likely will even make pedaling easier”]
[“Alright. Let’s do it. I already finished my legs- so let’s go with our arms next”]
Pulling out some weights to compare before an after. Jimmy struggles using two hands to pull a 50lb weight to the beanbags.
Sitting, focusing on each and every muscle in his arms, Jimmy has several pauses as his arms burn from the mana being forced into his muscles as they reshape themselves stronger to accept the mana.
Finishing up, Jimmy collapses onto the beanbags, arms stretched out and tired, passing out in a sweat bath.
Waking up feeling cold, Jimmy can see his clothes are still wet in sweat.
[“I have to get clean”]
[“Get some new clothes too- this used to be a white shirt”]
Taking a stop through the clothes, Jimmy heads to the baby section to use some baby wipes to clean his body and put some new fresh clothes on.
[“hey, try the weight. Lets see how strong we have gotten”]
Lifting the weight with both hands, the 50lb weight feels like not even 5lb’s.
[“Did someone switch this out?”]
[“Feels like it, but superb- look how strong we got. My arms don’t even feel tired”]
[“Anyways, we can move on with more, I think. I have not touched the hands or feet, there are some muscles there too”]
Looking through the book- there is so few muscles, but still some.
Focusing back in on the beanbags, Jimmy focuses on his hands and feet- quickly finishing faster than originally thought. In several tests he can now easily crush a metal flask with his hands.
Several periods go by, focusing on every single muscle left that he could find- using mana to locate any muscles untouched.
While feeling around for any muscles left untouched, none were left.
[“Our time in W*lm*rt has come to end, we must continue on our journey”]
[“I agree”]
Packing up everything I can fit in his bag, Jimmy takes a moment to just look in the mirror – there is no reflection of himself- but he can still see everything as it was untouched before the incident, like an image printed into the mirror.
[“Things don’t seam to receive light anymore until they are Returned to life, maybe mirrors work the same?”]
Using Return to Life on the mirror- quickly his reflection comes into the mirror
[“Look at you, look at me. We have muscles. Actual. Muscles!”]
[“yeah, they do look nice, but I think I gotta shave too”]
[“Maybe. Yeah, just shave it all off”]
Heading to the health and grooming section, Jimmy sighs at the site of all the electrical razers. So far, electricity, is still a no go. Grabbing the first razer blade and shaving cream, Jimmy heads to the mirror.
With a bit of work, Jimmy gets it done, but it was a bit of a rough job being the first time with a razer blade. Several cuts, but he cleaned up well- his better toned face shows through the lost fat.
[“Now lets go”]
[“I am going, I’m going”]
Putting on his backpack, and two water bladders, Jimmy can feel his body is lighter than before, even after carrying more weight.
Heading out of the Walmart, Jimmy takes out a piece of paper from his notebook, and writes “Yellowstone” in bright thick red marker, and uses Steal Life to leave the piece of paper floating right in front of the store where it can be noticeably found by anyone who may come after.
[“Our time here may have been short, but we have to keep on moving.”]
[“Right, I discovered that there are definitely other people moving still”]
[“And look how strong we got now”]
Pulling his bike up, and setting out- Jimmy appears to be moving 2, maybe 3 times as fast as before, with all the same effort. Who know how much quicker Jimmy will reach Yellowstone.
