Chapter 3 - The New Life Of A Lost Boy
2. As time has passed after the tragic event of his parents, young Takashi, now a ten year old boy, is living in the rich home of Anorishi, the now thirty-two year old woman, living as if Takashi is her son.
She comes up to him on a bright sunny day while he is outside bringing more goods for them, working hard as he has been for five years.
He gives the goods to her servant as she starts to speak saying, "I've been thinking over the years, when I lived with my father in a village, how wonderful a time that was, but there in that village were a lot of fake people, two faced personalities, I couldn't take it anymore, when I found out about that couple who were the ones ruining the village, I left, and went back to my husband," she smiles at him and then looks towards the vast field again, "my father told me to leave, I was there to take care of him while my husband was gone, but...It was worth it once I found you, and I wanted to take care of you after what that couple did, now I am taking care of you, the right way, while my husband teaches you about the Southern Island, the place of those warriors, where we went and met with an Areanean Nation, then things went downhill, and war began, my father was young in that war, and he is like your grandfather you know," she keeps smiling, "call him that, he'll love it."
"I'll never call that borderline senile my grandfather, nor will I ever give you the right of the name mother." Saying this with a blunt tone, he walks away sternly after.
Anorishi stays there though and leans against her farm gate, thinking about the words of Takashi.
...
Now at the dinner table, ready to eat some of Anorishi's servants food, which is traditional Eneki noodles, with fish and seaweed. Anorishi walks in the hallway sized dining room happily and says, "oh welcome everyone!" As there is company eating with them, like it is every night, always like a party in Anorishi's home.
She sits down and makes a toast with fresh brewed red wine and says to everyone, "drink and eat up, as this was made by my lovely servant, and my now son Takashi who gathered everything for us."
Everyone drinks their delicious wine while Takashi drinks his own fresh grape juice, staring at Anorishi as if his eyes are burning her soul, causing her to constantly look back and forth at him during their dinner.
Then a man shows up, Anorishi's husband, a man that mocks people with his riches, a bragger, that Takashi looked at viciously as well.
He comes in the dining room, taking off his traditional Eneki mask, that is known it's golden color, and placing it in the hands of one of his servants, having them put it on the rack.
Being pleased with everyone's greetings, when all he cared for was Anorishi's, he sits down with his traditional Eneki guard outfit still on, immediately drinking the wine, looking at Takashi like how a killer looks at it's victims once they are dead, just studying him.
Takashi could not withstand it no longer and decided to leave this foolishness of a dinner, to see the suffering servant instead, which he found out by talking to her is Anorishi's sisters daughter, her niece, who is only 15 years old, but Anorishi's sister was suddenly killed last year, and her daughter has been here ever since.
Takashi and the servant, who's name is Shima, bonded and became friends. They were talking until Anorishi calls him saying, "Takashi! Come! We have excellent news we want you to hear!"
Takashi looks back at Shima, and she says, "go, I don't want you to get in trouble again."
Takashi walks in the living area, looking at everyone engulfed in their riches, while Anorishi starts saying, "Tanado has something to say to you."
"Who's Tanado?"
"My husband..." Anorishi says strictly, "I told you before."
He walks towards Tanado and says, "what is the news?"
"I want you to sign up for the warriors try out, it's happening later this year when you turn eleven, to see if you're a true warrior or not, to save our land, and you know everyone else too. This is not your choice, you're doing this whether you like it or not," he looks him up and down, "whenever I look at you I see a potential warrior."
Takashi scoffs at him, "you're a stuck up, just like the others..."
Everyone goes silent, then Tanado starts laughing while griping Takashi's arm as if really threatning hi, saying, "you're a funny one...Takashi...But you're going, go prepare yourself, would you?"
Takashi nods his head to him, trying to be respectful, before walking up to his room, with Shima watching him do so.
...
Now eleven years old, sitting in his room being prepped for the event by Tanado himself now, looking out of the window of all the young boys being forced to train, wearing only but dirty pants and no shirt on, with marks on their bodies, while Takashi has his trousers brown with marks on his face as well, with his long shoulder hair pushed back.
The scenery of a plain field rolls through his mind, as it is outside, with millions watching to see who'll become a warrior, and which one they shall be. Takashi looks in Tanados eyes and says, "none of us are ready for this, no one, to become a warrior is not related to the ones in the book about it, the book of the Southern Island, people have you said-"
"But you need to train," he cuts off Takashi's words, "listen, you can't be a weakling like you are now, you have to be strong to fight that monster, not like you at all." He says staring into his eyes.
Then Anorishi shows up and says from the doorway, "Is he ready or not, we are waiting?"
"Yes, he is."
Tanado looks back at Takashi, studying him again before finally letting him go.
...
Now outside, Takashi stands with the other countless boys, preparing to fight like they were taught to do. They start fighting against one another once the announcer shows up.
After months of practice, he fights against other kids, only beating them all, until one kid punches him in the face almost breaking his nose and bruising his face, now as Takashi is known to have temper, he starts beating the kid senseless as they fight each other, bruising each other badly, until finally the fight was called off and everyone was sent home.
Tanado and Anorishi were angry at Takashi when they feel he is the reason the fight was called off, leaving him outside of the house after being outside all day to think on what he did.
He sits on a log near the trees, bruised badly, where Shima walks outside and says, "I got some things for you," while putting a book down, she starts treating his face with medicine and giving him water to drink, while Takashi doesn't take his eyes off the book saying, "Is that the book about Southern Island?"
She looks back at it, "oh, yes it is, I was going to tell you about it later."
"Tell me now, I'm going be out here all the rest of the day."
She nods her head, understanding him, "well I've been reading on this for the past few months, and this event...I'm glad you're apart of it, I see something special about you, you..."
She stops and stares at him, looking into his traditional golden Eneki eyes, "I'm what? What about me?"
"You trained the best, you are a natural, I need you to read about the warriors in this book, I believe you're a special one," she stands back, standing daintly, "train, keep fighting, and become strong like you are now, don't let Anorishi or Tanado get in your way, please, for all of us and for me, read it."
Takashi grabs the book and starts reading it, doing the same thing every night as he gets ready to go to sleep, as Shima had told him to do, reading behind Anorishi and Tanado's back, as they kept being rude and vicious as normal.
And while he is reading, the same definition from Morlagon and Marshogon in Volume 1, he falls asleep and sees himself standing on top of a mountain as giant rocks float all around him, and he sits there with his eyes closed, in older form, as in twenties, with long flowing hair, handsome and chiseled, holding his mysterious weapon, then he opens his eyes in the vision and the rocks around him fall causing a quake, then the flash of the sky at twilight appears in front of him causing a rude awakening for him, where he breathes heavily for air once being woken up by it.
He gets up and looks at the sky, seeing a brown stone at his window, he opens the window and sees the stone, he takes it in and sets it by his bed as it looks like the rocks in his vision, then he ends up falling asleep next to them, and the bruises on his face heal completely as if nothing happened at all.
Then eventually Shima comes in his room smiling at him while giving him a goodnight kiss.
