Jun sat up on the couch and walked towards the light switch turning it on and off. He sighed when he saw that it didn’t work, He had already seen that all the lights around the area were already off.
It was starting to get cold seeing as how the heater also turned off. He hugged his arms and rubbed up and down. He felt regretful if he hadn’t fought with Sirang he probably would’ve been here trying to pull him closer into a hug.
Jun wished he could’ve been less stubborn and just told him the truth about his feelings.
…
It continued to grow colder as time went on, The two lovers also started to feel regretful about what happened in their argument. While Jun felt regretful about not telling Sirang his feelings, Sirang felt regretful about snapping at the other.
Jun decided to make a small snack as an apology gift for Sirang. After a few trial and errors and a lot of angry smacking of kitchen products, Jun had finally made some Kimchi Bokumbap.
Jun was now glad Sirang convinced him into buying that chargeable rice cooker. He sighed, leaning over the counter to look at the small dish he made, “Is this gonna be enough to have him forgive me?” He thought to himself.
He was getting ready to go to the bedroom when Jun felt a pair of strong arms wrap around his waist. A deep and magnetic voice sounded in his ear.
“I’m sorry I snapped at you.”
He turned around and looked the other in the eye. “No, I’m sorry. I should’ve just told you how I actually felt instead of being stubborn,” Jun picked up the small snack behind him and handed it to his lover. “I made this as an apology.”
A smile appeared on Sirang’s face, it was a bit different from the rest. It didn’t have a feeling of evil nor did it seem sadistic and it didn’t even appear as a smirk, but it was a happy joyful smile. One that hadn’t appeared in a very long time.
He leaned down and kissed Jun’s forehead, a doting look in his eyes, “Take your time, I’ll still be waiting.”
He laughed, “I’m a patient person, or else I wouldn’t have waited all this time.”
Jun smiled and shook his head, “You deserve to hear it. Just wait a while, okay?”
…
It was getting close to midnight, Sirang was still sitting on the couch and waiting for his lover’s ‘’big surprise’’. As he waited with anticipation a smile couldn’t help but sit on his face.
Jun came out of the bedroom, hands behind his back, clearly hiding something. Sirang gave him a gentle smile. He couldn’t help but think it was worth the wait. That the happiness Jun gave him this past year, was everything.
Jun handed him a poorly wrapped book. He chuckled and looked up at him. “This is your big surprise?”
“Shut up, I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare, y’know.”
He smiled and unwrapped the book, revealing a poorly made scrapbook. Sirang looked at him with a raised eyebrow, “What is this?”
“Just open it.” Jun insisted, sitting down on the couch next to his lover leaning over his shoulder.
Sirang slowly opened the book revealing the pictures he had taken of them over the course of the year they had been together, plus the ones he took when he was pursuing him.
He smiled at the poorly made scrapbook and closed it, “So what does the book mean?” He questioned, an amused smile on his face. Jun awkwardly coughed, “I mean that...” He paused and sighed, “I don’t even know.”
Jun had a dejected expression and buried his face in his hands, “I wish I could’ve had more time.” Sirang smiled and rubbed his lover’s back in comfort. ‘’It’s fine, I don’t need a gift. I just need you.”
Jun looked up at him and kissed him deeply. A sly smirk appeared on Sirangs face as he pulled Jun’s head closer running his fingers through his hair, locking their lips and tongues together.
His hand lowered down the center of his back and up his shirt. Jun's eyes opened wide, a surprised look on his face. He pushed him away, “Your hands.”
Sirang smiled, his phoenix eyes narrowing. “What about my hands?”
“They're going places they shouldn’t.”
Sirang wrapped his arms around his waist and looked up at him, “Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
When the lights started to turn on, Jun looked at the clock; 1:30 AM. Just past midnight. Sirang kissed Jun’s forehead and smiled, “Merry Christmas, my love.”
“Merry Christmas,” Jun hesitated, “—and I love you”
Sirangs eyes widened but only before they narrowed happily, putting his head against Jun’s. “I love you too”.
