Shapeshift
I'm at school, in gym class, doing the day's workout. I start to feel different, until suddenly I'm on all fours. I look around me and I see amazed faces looking at me, I continue walking around the gym as people just stare. I feel lithe, at ease, lean, fast. Yes, fast, like I could run forever. So I start running, I ran in circles around the gym and I didn't tire. Mr. Smith just stared as I ran, I change back, I notice when I become tall, fatigued again, once I'm human again it's like a spell was lifted, everyone becomes animated again and Mr. Smith dismisses us. I change my clothes and wait in the gym. I feel like I want to fly, be free, suddenly I'm a little smaller, I have wings, a strong beak, I'm a hawk. I fly around the gym until the bell rings, in which I'm human again, I grab my stuff and go to my sixth hour. In sixth hour I feel bored, and then I wonder: How many people in this class are scared of snakes? Suddenly I'm smaller, longer, like I've had my body stretched. I've turned into a giant snake, I'm coiled up in my chair. I slither out, quickly getting used to how to move. I move around the room and hear screams behind me as I maneuver around. I pretend to about to strike at someone and they scream. I get back to my seat and shift back to a human. So much time has passed, the bell's about to ring so I gather my stuff and get up to wait by the door. Outside, I change into a wolf, like in gym class, and run around the area, digging in the snow. I probably look like a crazed happy dog. I try out my bark and everyone stops to stare. I shift back, grab my stuff, and get on the bus. Everyone is still staring as I pick a seat and read my book.
