Page woke up, like every morning, to the sound of her brother's knock on her door. She shuffled out of bed and grabbed clothes out of her closet, a red shirt like her brother's, and blue sweatpants. Then she collected and folded her Dobok for Taekwando that afternoon, a light blue set for the demo team. She placed the uniform in a duffel bag, and gathered her things and headed downstairs, again landing last in line for the shower. She collected her soap free body wash and shampoo, as the acidic soaps would hurt her gem, and she didn't want to have to warp to the fountain before school. Her shower was hot and relaxed her body after being bruised up a little bit from Kendo last night, when she missed a couple blocks. Afterwards, she dried off and brushed her hair, it falling into place quickly and seemed to always stay out of her face with out being tied.
Bismuth made pancakes that morning, which was good, the quick energy would be good for gym that morning. She took three off the stack and piled high as much fruit as she could on top of them, forgoing syrup. After eating and grabbing her bags, she joined her siblings in the van for the ride to school. Inside the van, she talked with Robbie, making sure that they met up at the same spot after practices, since Sophie's choir didn't have an extra practice today.
At school, Page started with gym, one of her favorite classes. They did stretches and ran laps around the room. Then paired off to do passing drills with basketballs. She had fun. After gym, was social studies, which she didn't like, because they were going over the history of the city, then math. At lunch she sat with her family and Connie, though she waved at a friend across the room. after eating she had science, English and Theater with Steven. Last was homeroom, where she worked on her history work, and as the bell rang, she ran off to the Beach city martial arts building for her class.
At the classroom, Page lined up with her team, her friend Tosh from school standing beside her. Tosh's brother Hee, was standing with the regular students, on the other side of the teacher, Sabom Ando. Sabom's husband was the Kendo Sensei, and both were the parents of Tosh and Hee. Sabom sent off the students into teams to practice forms for the day, working personally with the younger students. About an hour into the class, Tosh had to work with a particularly adversarial teammate on a few demonstrations and the student took the opportunity to pick on him. Page saw the interaction and went to help her friend, her gem glowing right before she got there. Once in between the two students, she grabbed the spear from her forehead, holding it like a Bokuto sword against the aggressive teen. Sabom saw the interaction and ran over to check on his son, and to stop the kids before it got truly violent. The spear dissipated as soon as Page felt the man's hand on her shoulder. The teacher thanked her for protecting his kid, but reminded her that Kendo was with a different Ando, and magic should be kept at home except in emergencies. Tosh let all pretenses fall as he hugged his savior and thanked her. Page offered to let Tosh, if he wanted, sit with her family at lunch at school, and asked if he could come over and meet them after class. Sabom agreed and had the kids get back to their forms for the last half hour of class.
Page, Robbie and Tosh walked to the beach house after class and Tosh met everyone, Bismuth happy to have another "meatball" around. Spinel was working on something on the other side of the house but noodled her hand over to shake the boy's own. Amethyst passed out snacks for the new arrivals, an odd concoction of peanut butter and chocolate covered fruits and the occasional veggie. At the end of the day Greg took Tosh and Connie home and the kids got ready for bed. Page explained to the gems what happened and they all praised her for summoning her spear. She fell asleep exhausted, and as her gem glowed and displayed it's projection, she dreamed of graduating from her classed being praised by Tosh and his dads.
