Sarah cried inbetween breaths and retching. Chloe tried to get the attention of an attendant, this proved to be difficult as she needed to hold both the bag and the girls hair. Thankfully Dylan managed to get the attendants attention and soon help was on the way. Two tall women kindly took the crying girl from her seat and started guiding her to the back of the shuttle. Chloe followed as instructed, although she rather wouldn't.
Other attendants started to inspect the seats of the girls for anything that needed cleaning up, but it seemed unnessecary. They placed a couple of new bags and then left to their other duties.
The two women with Sarah were desperately trying to calm her down. After a little while she finally stopped retching. One lady had put a cold wet cloth in her neck and the other was cleaning up her face. The old bag had been taken away and replaced with a new one. Chloe was just standing there, waiting for it to be over, staring out of the windows near her. She was astonished by the view. There were stars, planets, debris and even other shuttles or entire spaceships and spacestations. After a while Sarah finally looked up to Chloe.
"I'm so sorry, Chloe, I am better now." She stuttered with a weak voice. "Thank you so much." She added turning to the ladies. The women smiled pitiful smiles at the young girl. After they cleaned her up a bit more, Chloe stuck out her hand towards the shaking girl. Sarah looked at her for a second, but wouldn't dare ask, knowing Chloe would leave if she did. She grabbed her hand firmly, also grabbing onto her arm. Chloe led her back to their seats quietly. When they got back the boys looked at them. Thomas had a stern look on his face, while Dylan was visably worried. Chloe guided Sarah back in her seat, while sitting back down herself.
"Are you alright?" Dylan asked Sarah. She nodded softly and managed a weak smile to her companion. Chloe flicked her finger in front of her. A screen appeared showing the remaining time left on the shuttle. She flicked her finger again and it dissapeared.
"Only 3 hours to go, girl."
Sarah nodded softly again. Even though they had sat back down, she would not let go of Chloe's hand. Chloe sighed but tried her best not to complain.
An hour passed and Sarah had fallen sound asleep. The other three ordered food. Dylan and Thomas figured out how to turn their seats towards the girls behind them. The attendant that came with their food tapped on an invisable bottun and a table appeared between the four of them. Sarah was still sleeping peacefully. Dylan had requested a blanket for her. They had come back with a blanket and a pillow and some ear plugs. Chloe had carefully taken of the small girl's shoes.
The remaining three enjoyed their meal under some loud banter between Chloe and Thomas, who laughed about something that happened in the tavern back at their home. Dylan loudly complained about them being vulgar and disrespectful to other people. Which made the devil and demon only laugh even more. The banter continued until Sarah finally woke up. confused and disorientated. They ordered some more food and some soup for Sarah. The conversation fell quiet after Sarah managed to eat half of her bowl of soup and fell back asleep.
A voice requested everyone to turn their seats back into their original positions and to fasten their seatbelts. Sarah looked grim. after turning the seats and putting on the seatbelts she grabbed Chloe's hand firmly once again. The flight attendants made a round to check if everyone was buckled up, before returning to their own seats. Screens showed up infront of everyone showing more instructions in case of emergencies. The screens turned off and the shuttle started to decent towards the next planet that was coming closer and closer. It was properly visable through the big windows. The four of them stared at the planet that was once their own home. It looked the same from all the pictures and videos they had seen on the news, when they were alive and yet, it was different. They were not sure if that was because they were seeing it themselves and not through pictures or if it was because it had actually changed since they departed.
The shuttle arrived inside the Earth's atmosphere and decented quickly towards the ground. An airport boomed up infront of the shuttle after some time. The shuttle turned and started to letch unto a tube. The screens appeared once again all over the shuttle, telling people to please stay seated until told otherwise. The shuttle letched and shook. People were running around on the ground. A car pushed a cart under the shuttle so the it could rest on top of it. The engines turned off and the seatbelts were loosened. On the screens were now instructions on how to leave the shuttle. People started to take their belongings from the robot cabinets and leave. Sarah was happy that the landing had been so smooth and was eager to get off. However... What would be waiting for them from now on. It doned onto Sarah that from here on, she will have to actively fight unknown monstrosities. She was never trained for that. Once again she found herself questioning why she was asked and why she accepted.
