CHAPTER 8 - Maldu Chargeme
0. In two days, Maldu makes it to the Southern Island, and her trip was safe and protected. When Maldu was sailing on the second day, the waters beside her felt as if it was protecting her, the breeze of the waters spraying on her boat, was a breeze of protection, and the waters were used to guide her to the island, in safety.
As she pulls up and docks the boat, the breezes leave her and the sea flows back to normal. She takes her stuff, and puts them on the same area they were before, and the island is perfectly fine, it looks as if nothing happened, and the beauty is still with it.
She sits where her household was, right in the tree house. She fixes everything and designs the island with the colors of the precious stones. She walks around the midst of the island and finds many crystals on the island. As lonely as she is on the island, she truly wasn't lonely, as she focused on finding out who she is supposed to be, and for a year she lives on the western side of island, no word from anyone, and she didn't let her sadness of her family get to her. She continued on with her studies and learned about the Guardian of the Warriors, which she knew she was something involved in.
But one night on the island as she was studying, she noticed that her body felt unusual, like her belly was bigger, and she kept having odd tastes in her mouth. She gets up and walks over to where she washes up, and when she looks at herself in her silver patted glass and notices that she has the looks of a pregnant woman.
Maldu in shock drops her silver glass and immediately walks around in confusion, as her pregnancy seems sudden. "Why am I overreacting? This whole situation is nonsense." She tells herself. Maldu then goes to sleep to leave the situation alone.
The next day, Maldu walks toward the sea with her clothes to collect salt water for her use of water. As she is collecting the water, a boat in the distance pulls up at the dock of the island. Maldu walks away from it until a voice cries out to her saying, "Maldu, I am here!" She turns around and says "Ahorah?"
She runs up to the boat and sees Ahorah getting out of the boat, holding all kinds of goods for Maldu. "You look the same, how is the nation? Is everyone okay without me? Did you tell everyone about my disappearance? Ever since I lived here I've been missing my people, I feel like I've betrayed them, are you doing okay?"
"The question is, Maldu, are you doing okay?"
"I'm fine..."
Maldu walks back to the island and Ahorah follows her. They sit down on logs by a river stream and continue talking through the sounds of nature. "Has it really been a year? I feel like I been on this island for...only a few months."
"Which makes a year, you see...living on this island by yourself must be difficult, but you did it and you're doing it, you haven't even hit winter yet, so the hardest part hasn't even come, plus it's an island, the main dangers are storms. What I'm saying is that you are doing a good job here, and you haven't broken down, right..."
"No, I did the best I could, and I kept studying, it kept my time."
"Soon this island will be filled with people again, and by soon I mean years...But you said it felt like a few months so...that's what it's going to be."
"This is not making sense anymore, why am I really on this island,? I haven't seen people in so long, I mean a man for once."
Ahorah gets up and says, "Marshogon, right."
"Yes..is he okay?"
"He..."
Maldu gets up in a worry and says, "he, what?"
"Is fine, just wanted to scare you, pretty sure you didn't do yourself some emotion now have you." Anora chuckles at herself again.
"Yes, at the trees and strange plants, for not growing anymore food in the past months."
"Ah, you're funny aren't you, well let's go to where you sleep, you'll be more comfortable there, come on, show me."
Maldu and Ahorah walk through the beautiful island to where Maldu stays and sleeps. She sits down and Anora starts saying, "have you figured out who I am yet?"
"No, you are here to teach me about this island and the warriors."
"Yes, but think more personal," she faces Maldu, "who am I really?" She lifts a brow, "still don't know?"
Maldu gets up and walks to face her and says, "who are you...?"
"Ahorah holds her hand and says, "Your grandmother?" Maldu backs away and says, "no, you can't be, both my grandmother's have passed?"
"That's the lie your father told, you see, I'm his mother, but when he was born, another lady took care of him and that's the lady you know. I couldn't take care of him because I had nothing, that is why I live in a hut, I've been like that for years. Your royal family took him, and that is why he became king. I tried to get myself together, and ended up finding this map and a book about Southern Island, and I've been studying it since I was your age, I know a lot about it."
Ahorah turns away from Maldu for a split second before turning away and saying to the curious Maldu, "so, I traveled a lot and I wanted to find more and spread the news, but no one would listen to me, so when I finished it years later, I put it near the gate of the Lesothian nation, hoping someone will find it, and someone did, your love, Marshogon found it, and then he gave it to you, and now look, this island, we are on it, and that is why I'm going to live with you here, so you won't be alone, and I'll be your guide through it, I Ahorah Lovia Chargeme, am your grandmother." She bows.
Maldu stands in shock and then runs up to her and proceeds to hug her tightly, holding on for dear life, to finally hold on to a loved one, once again, she finally found someone who is still alive in her grasp, to be with her, on the island. She backs away from Ahorah and says, "I guess I should tell you, that...I've been dealing with this sick feeling for a month, I think I might be pregnant..."
"You think you're pregnant, honey, you're probably just sick?" "No, it's different, it's different from any other sickness."
Ahorah looks her up and down and then proceeds to say, "lie down."
Maldu lies down and Ahorah gives her medicine saying, "you told me you were okay?" "I am okay, I just think I'm pregnant."
Ahorah feels her stomach and says, "It's different, it looks a lot different."
Maldu, suddenly gagging, gets up and throws up. Ahorah walks over to her and says, "you're pregnant? With one of the warriors, it's the first one, it's there, this is your confrontation, that you are the guardian! Others will have the other warriors, it is true, this is how it's about to start! Here lie down and sleep, I bet you when you get up, it'll be different." Maldu lies down and sleeps from this, still trying to figure out how this may be possible.
...
Maldu handles her pregnancy well through all of this, and Ahorah takes care of her the whole time.
Maldu has her baby boy and names him Morlagon, based on his father's name.
She and Ahorah take great care of him and raise him well on the island. Sadly though, Ahorah got very sick and passed away on the island, where Maldu mourns for her for some time. She eventually withstands it and continues taking care of Morlagon.
...
As years pass and the island becomes easier for them to live on, she teaches Morlagon the same thing about the island. Morlagon is such a smart and powerful baby that even at the age of only two, he was able to do the things of an adult. Climbing, talking, walking, understanding, and knowledge are strong with him. Even wisdom of the island came with not force but naturally.
Now at the age of three, Morlagon can wander by himself, and not get hurt, he is able to pick up so much stuff, and his dark skin would glow like his fathers, while the shine is the same as his mother's gold long hair, and his eyes are a mixture of Maldu's and Marshogon's, glowing brown eyes with the sun, but the brown would turn white whenever the islands mysteries would appear.
The love was strong with them, and nothing could break them apart.
Until, a year later, a group of people arrived on the island, but Maldu didn't realize it until one day when she was taking Morlagon for a walk around the western part of the island, and she happened to be at the border of the eastern part where she saw another nation of people, then she realized it was the Eneki's, they were staying on that part of the island as if they were colonizing.
"Them again, as long as they don't come over here, they're good."
"Right, mommy." Morlagon's replies.
As Maldu is also professionally trained in fighting as well, she knew that if they did, she would fight them, but luckily, they stayed to themselves.
About another year later, and the people are still on the side of the island, but as Maldu begins to check, she sees that there is another nation with them, from the Areaneans, "they must be the Nokinian's, I can tell by the traditional clothing, let's go back."
Maldu lives with them on the island for a while, as if it is years, they leave and come back, the sound of festivals accompany as well to reassure them.
And Maldu, the whole time, keeps quiet and takes care of her son, Morlagon, as she studies with him and focuses on the island and who she is and who he is.
She still lives at peace as the people begin to leave, and they live together on the island, until the true warriors finally come.
