Greg couldn’t do much in the rain, he really should have stayed at the house with Steven. Gem stuff REALLY freaked him out, so he opted out. He somewhat hated himself for being scared if it, Gem stuff made up half of his son for crying out loud.
A glowing thing was walking toward him, Greg freaked out. Then he noticed the silhouette, and that didn’t help his panic but it did stop him from going for a weapon.
“Steven?”
The glowing person shook his head, and gestured to the glowing box floating by his side, a coffin. Greg really didn’t want to know what he’d find in there, but he looked. It was his son, nearly seeming asleep, but he wasn’t breathing.
Greg’s hands flew to his mouth, he really wanted this to be a nightmare, a more literal nightmare at least. It very much WAS a nightmare already.
“Is that who I think it is?”
The pink bring that looked like his son shook his head again. “No, Steven doesn’t have a corpse to bury as he is merely what happens when me and the late being within the coffin are together. Though it is still your son”
That was enough for Greg to break down in tears. “And- and you- you are?”
“I am Steven’s gem half, also your son”
That was not what Greg wanted to be said there at all.
“This- this can’t be really. This can’t actually be happening”
“Sorry Dad” the being kept it’s monotone.
Greg was breaking down, the worst event of his life had just occurred. “Can this day get any worse!” This was Yelled.
The pink beings eyes lost detail, and horizontal lines flew across them. When this ended, the being spoke.
“There are 5.863 quintillion ways this day can get worse be any amount, of those possibilities, only 4. 232 trillion are worse by 5% or greater. This data assumes that the "day” period of time ends at 12:00 am". This was said completely soullessly.
Greg was still to busy mourning to care, he couldn’t imagine what could be worse about this day, and was honestly afraid to ask given the detail the luminescent ghost of his son spoke in.
“What- what happened?”
“Steven failed to heed my warnings about playing near a cliff in the rain, he saw that someone else was about to fall off, so he through himself toward them and threw them to safer ground, as a result, he had spun himself off of the edge of the cliff. He landed on his back and severed the connection between his spinel cord and the rest of his body, while also crushing his ribs. The fatal injury was a combination of a severe concussion and his heart bursting from the pressure.”
Greg wanted to vomit, that was just too much detail for him.
A new voice screamed “Look over there!!”
The two turned to see Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl running over to them.
