CHAPTER 7 - The Southern Island
0. Eventually they fall asleep on the ship and they get woken up by the sound of a ship's horn coming their way. They wake up and see a ship next to their ship.
"It's my ship, come on, come with us." Marshogon says this in an excited tone, grabbing Maldu's hand.
Maldu goes with Marshogon to the beautiful Lesothian ship, but before they continue to sail, Maldu tells them that someone must do something to get their ship back to shore, as the ship isn't broken, but the people on it were attacked. She continues to tell them about her parents and that she somehow will have to become queen for her nation.
All of it, taking a complete toll on her mind...
A sailor from the ship decides to steer the boat for her, and with this gesture, they leave together.
They make it to her nation and drop her off there, where there are other people there who can take care of her. Marshogon doesn't agree with this and wants her to stay with them, but his father keeps saying that she must rule her land and that the Sepereans need her during these hard times.
Marshogon takes a deep breath and says, "I love Maldu with all my heart, she should not rule this land herself without marriage, as a young eighteen year old woman, I will marry her for her sake!"
Everyone gasps, and his mother says to him, "you will not marry that Seperean woman, our women are much better to marry in this state. After all she's been through, leave this nation alone, Marshogon! A twenty year old young man like you is not going to marry a woman from this nation, now come back and leave her alone!"
Marshogon doesn't listen until his father says, "Marshogon, Let's go, let's not worry about marriage just yet."
The Lesothian nation leaves, leaving her with her boat and her with her with the rest of her people. The people run to take care of her as she starts to cry about everything that happened, with it all taking a toll on her as everything clears up enough for her to truly realize her situation.
With everyone comforting her, she instead asks to be alone and goes off by herself.
She walks along the beach line beside the waves with her arms crossed and her face frowned, until the voice of an older woman starts saying out of nowhere, "clean up your tears, they won't do ya any good on this beach of tragic disasters."
She wipes her eyes and sees an old dark skinned woman wearing a black shawl and old rusty clothes that are purple all together. She takes her cane and points it at Maldu, saying, "I have no choice, I just have take care of you, I have to, but not that I don't want to. You see you are more special than you think, not just by being the new queen, but by your job as the keeper of crystals and lady of the newly coming warriors."
"Lady of the Warriors? You mean..?"
"Follow me, darling, I have a lot to show you." The old woman gives off a smile before walking with Maldu.
...
She takes her to an old hut in the middle of nowhere, she walks inside and sees that it's very cozy and relaxing, judging a book by its cover at its finest.
Maldu sits down on a chair while the old lady makes her tea, with Maldu looking around at the place as if she has never seen anything like it, then she asks, "what is your name?"
The woman replies with, "Ahorah."
"That's nice, a very old name indeed. I have heard many stories from your name."
"No good ones I assure." The woman smiles at this, chuckling while saying so.
Maldu stops looking around and faces Ahorah as Ahorah gives her the tea, with her sitting down slowly and saying, "Princess Maldu Chargeme..."
"Yes?" Maldu replies back.
"You are something that this whole Earth is waiting for, and I'm here to put you on your path physically, and we are starting today. I'll take care of you, starting now." Ahorah gets up and walks outside the hut as Maldu eventually follows her.
Ahorah looks around outside and says, "the island is for you, you just have to see for yourself, no one will know but you and your gloom," she looks back at Maldu with the sun beaming in her face, "stand outside with me, and stand to the island. Feel the Creator's breeze..."
Maldu comes out and joins the woman, with both their arms open wide.
...
During the times of Maldu living with the older lady Ahorah, they have a ceremony for King Jabulani and all the people who died throughout the years, and they bury them in a beautiful field of the only flowers left.
Maldu runs the kingdom at the same time, being called Queen Maldu to the people, and being well taken care of by the old lady Ahorah.
She decided to let Ahorah stay in their palace with you her, and she did, taking well care of the palace as well as the people in it and surrounding it.
Six months later, Maldu gets signed to marriage by the guards of the palace and leaders in court. Maldu decides that she doesn't need marriage right now and sends the men of the nation back to where they belong in her eyes. Since Maldu is very beautiful, and brings light to everyone she encounters, it was constant to assign marriage, but Maldu kept rejecting it, as the real issue was that she was training for the Southern Island, and studying the island while ruling the nation.
Ahorah trained her well, and Ahorah herself new about the Southern Island since she was Maldu's age, and Anora is an old woman, at least in her seventies.
About four months later as Maldu is now nineteen, Marshogon was eventually let back to the nation of Arcillians and stayed with Queen Maldu and even met Ahorah. He kept asking to marry Maldu, but was not allowed too. "She is sacred, she can't be in marriage at this moment. You are a handsome man Marshogon, but Maldu needs to be left alone."
Marshogon decides to just stay the night and Ahorah lets him do so, since he is a prince and whatever he says must be followed.
...
Sleeping by Maldu's side, he then says, "are you somewhat the Lady of Warriors? Is that why I can't marry you?" "Yes, I believe I could be, that's what I'm training for, I want to be, it would be a sight to see."
Marshogon and Maldu eventually fall asleep, and in the morning, Marshogon leaves them and goes back to his nation, as the two nations are now friendly to each other, this was allowed.
About a month later, Maldu finally finishes the book of the Southern Island, and as she puts the book away, something hits her glass window in her room, she opens the window and sees a gold crystal laying on the balcony of her room. She climbs out the window and grabs it, the beautiful crystal reflects off her sandy brown bushy hair just right.
She holds on to it and says, "It's time, it's time to see who I really am..." She says quietly.
Maldu runs to find Ahorah, but she can't find her, so she runs to her hut and sees her on the beach, standing with her feet in the water, she then turns around and says, "are you ready, Queen Maldu?"
Maldu runs up to her and says, "I'm ready." Ahorah smiles and walks near some trees and takes out a boat from the shore, a boat the perfect size for a young woman like Maldu.
Maldu takes her crystal and turns it into a necklace. Maldu comes back out and Ahorah says, "that ball of gold light is no crystal dear, it is a precious crystal, one for healing, not those dirty witches that use it for witchcraft. Now go, there is something waiting for you on the island, and you are going to find out. I'll keep the nation safe, and I know who will keep this land safe when I go, also, I will inform you with Marshogon and all that he sends you, that he is okay," she steps forward, patting Maldu's shoulder, "you will see him one day, don't worry, now get in the boat, I'll push you."
Maldu gets in the boat and puts bags of things she will need on the way with her journey. "I'll push you, my body is still strong, now go on, I know I'll see you again."
"You too, Ahorah."
Ahorah pushes the boat and waves goodbye to Maldu, while Maldu leaves and sails away as she had learned in the past years. Maldu by herself now keeps herself energized and sails to the Southern Island once more.
