Connie had been looking for Steven for a while now, everytime she asks someone where he is, they deflect. She’s tried calling him, but he doesn’t pickup. Now she’s trying the forest.
A whooshing sound came from nearby, and Connie went toward it. It might be nothing, but Connie was never one to run AWAY from danger.
She came across a portal, it was sky blue in color and was snapping and crackling like it might be unstable. She was about to leave and go tell Garnet when someone fell out of it, the sound of breaking glass was heard as they landed, and then the portal closed
At first, Connie thought it might be Steven, but whoever this was was way too tall for that, and Connie didn’t think she remembered Steven owning a Pink Jacket.
As they got up Connie saw they were a boy (physiologically at least), they looked at her, then looked at their hand, and then winced.
In their hand was a pile of light blue sand, broken glass, and a few intricate bent gold pieces. The boy took a deep breath, held it for a second, then let it out. They looked at her.
“Can I ask you not to talk about this?”
Without waiting for an answer, the boy stood up and snapped their fingers. A pink portal opened to their side, it looked identical to one of Lion’s portals. They walked into the portal, and then fell flat on their back as the portal did an above average impression of a brick wall.
As the boy sat up, Connie could see the frustration on their face. They looked her directly in they eyes, and Connie connected the dots.
Steven’s hair style, a yellow star on their black shirt, and Lion’s portals.
“Steven”
The boy pursed their lips and closed their eyes, then nodded.
“Yeah”
