Demons live among us, but you would never know.
They tempt us subconsciously, their darkness only grows.
Through the tough times in life, they come out to play
And fiddle with thoughts and emotions each day.
They come in all shapes, all sizes and forms.
Depression and hate? That’s most of their norms.
Anxiety, pain, abuse and self-doubt,
They’re made out of that—through the inside and out.
There’s thousands of them, designed for each soul.
To go torture one, or all, is their goal.
Here no one is safe, not even the pure.
And the unexpected have the worst ones for sure.
You can try to go fight them, and sometimes you’ll lose,
And sometimes you’ll come back from war with a bruise.
But it’s very possible, if you just stay strong,
But demons are ALWAYS among us — and belong.
