Alexander's POV
Cassidy’s soft breaths woke me up. The warm golden morning rays of sunlight shone down on him. He looked like an angel sent down from the heavens. My angel.
He looked so peaceful in my arms. I tightened my hold, cuddling him and buried my nose in his soft hair. His honeyed apple and forest scent filled my nose.
Cass shifted in my arms, turning to face me and pressed his face into my chest, snuffling. I chuckled quietly, a vibration deep inside my chest. He snuggled closer to my warm body, making me smile.
I would've gladly watched him all day. A little creepy, but I didn't care. Unfortunately, we had made plans to go to the farmers' market. It was about time we had to get up if we wanted to see the good stuff. I decided to wake him up the way couples did in those romance novels.
Okay, I'm a closet romantic and I like reading romance novels. So what?
I leaned down and pressed a kiss to his soft lips. Nothing. I tried again, this time moving my lips. Still nothing. I frowned. Well, this was a lot harder than expected. The protagonist would have woken up, if not kissed back by now.
I had an idea. But it was less romance and more erotic than the novels I’d read. Maybe I can wake him up now.
I got up and shifted Cassidy onto his back. Then I crawled over him, so my head was hovering just above his half-hard appendage. I leaned down and began to suckle at his balls through the silk of his pants. His cock twitched and swelled. The scent of musky arousal swelled, and I took it in a little breathlessly. He smelled so good. I mouthed at the hardening length through the silk; Cass shifted against the sheets. Time to up my game.
Gently, I slipped his pants down and the saliva that pooled my mouth; I wanted his dick in my mouth. I nosed at his thigh, nipping at the pale skin. My eyes were closed, I couldn’t open my eyes; my senses were overwhelmed with Cassidy’s sleepy arousal.
I took the tip into my mouth, tonguing the slit. He moaned. My cock twitched and I whimpered. More, I needed more. I took him in deeper and sucked. The taste of his fluid covered my tongue. It was salty, sweet and bitter all at once. I moaned around his length. It was so good. I kept sucking, trying to get more. My wolf was howling in pleasure.
"Alex..."
I didn’t notice I’d taken his length so deep until he hit the back of my throat. I gagged a little, my eyes watering. I pulled off and took a deep breath, before taking him in again. He woke up.
"Alex?"
I kept swallowed, my throat convulsing around his cock.
"What are you doing?" I kept at it. "Alex, god, Alex!" He came, head thrown back, his pale throat exposed under the golden rays of sunlight. I stared awestruck at the beauty that was my Cass.
As he came down from his climax, I crawled back up him and rested my hips between his thighs. My hand found its way into his bed sex hair. I kissed him, sliding my tongue into his mouth. Reaching down, I grabbed my aching cock in my other hand and tugged sharply. Watching Cass had gotten me so close to the edge. It took three strokes before Cassidy was swallowing my moans. My seed spilt onto his stomach. I dipped my fingers in the come and watched hypnotised as I rubbed it into his skin.
We lay there, sweat and come cooling on our skin. It was very relaxed and lazy. I hummed softly when his fingers carded through my hair as I lay on his chest.
"Cass?"
"Hm?"
"Are we still going to the farmers’ market?" I asked.
"You still want to?"
"Yeah, I've never been, and I want to see what it's like. But we can go another time I guess." I said, trying to hide the disappointment in my voice.
Cassidy paused. "Come on. Shower first and then we'll go, ‘kay?"
I smiled. We got into the showers and got delayed by another half hour. What? We are both young adults with raging hormones. Plus, he was hot.
It took a while, but we eventually got ready. A carriage took us into town. Despite the delays, we managed to make it just in time. The market had just opened, and people were already inside browsing through the variety of stalls there.
"Come on Alex!" Cassidy laced our fingers together and pulled me along to some food stalls selling a sweet-smelling kind of rice balls and noodles. "Breakfast time!" He cried.
That's right. We forgot about breakfast. As if right on cue, my stomach gave an embarrassingly loud growl. I flushed pink. Cassidy just laughed and bought some rice balls and a little cup of noodles.
"That's all?" I asked incredulously.
Cassidy laughed. "No, silly. We'll go to every food stall and try something. That way, we would have tried everything and gotten breakfast!"
I perked up after that. We tried every food stall there was except the funny smelling one. We had bread dipped in grilled cheeses specially made for today. Meat on a stick dipped in a peanut gravy. White springy noodles in a spicy coconut milk soup. There was even crab in chilli and garlic sauce. It was delicious. Many of the foods there, I had never tried despite being a prince. But as royalty, we didn't eat what the people ate. It was always fancier and of higher quality. I was missing out on all these wonderfully delicious local foods.
After 'breakfast', we decided to take a stroll in the market, looking at all the things on sale. There was one stall that sold personalised snow globes. It was rather intriguing. Cass wanted one. I looked down at him and he blushed, saying that he had a collection at home. I smiled indulgently and let him craft one. It was done with magic. The customer had to hold a snow globe of the size he wanted and then imagine what he wanted to be in it. The magic would do the rest.
I watched as the snow in the glass ball began to swirl as Cassidy thought hard about what he wanted. When the snow finally settled, I saw a black wolf and a figure in a red riding hood sitting on the wolf that was posed in a running position. I raised an eyebrow at Cassidy. He blushed. I looked closer and noticed that the figure had really blue eyes, very much like my Cassidy's. Then I realised that I was the black wolf and he was the figure in the riding hood. And he was riding me. The details were amazing. I could see my green eyes and even my canine teeth in the wolf's mouth. It was beautiful and exquisite. The only one in the world.
"It's amazing," I told Cassidy. "I love it." I pulled him closer to me and lifted his chin. I leaned down and kissed him softly and sweetly just like him. He was amazing. And perfect. My wolf wanted him and so did I.
"I love you." I murmured as I kissed him, my lips pressing on his. "I love you, Cass."
When we finally pulled away from each other, our cheeks were rosy, and we panted for air.
Cassidy looked at me. His eyes were unsure. He had heard my declaration of love and he didn't like it. My heart sunk. I let go of him and wiped my face of any emotions.
"Do you mean it?" He asked softly.
I nodded silently, turning away so I didn't have to see the pity in his eyes for the stupid prince who fell in love just like that.
"Alex, I–”
I cut him off. "You don't have to say it back," I said quietly.
"I know. I like you, and I do think I’ll love you. In time."
I looked up, hopeful. Cassidy had a small smile on his face, his cheeks pink at his admission. I smiled. That was good. I could work with that. We could take it slow.
We continued walking through the market, hand in hand. I got myself a little carved stone chess set. We continued walking, just window shopping and enjoying the warm sun.
Suddenly, Cassidy let out an excited gasp and jerked forward. I went with him.
"Oh my god! Cassidy! I haven't seen you in like, ever!" A girl's voice squealed and then giggled.
We were in front of a stall selling woodwork. A blonde girl came out squealing as she bear-hugged my Cassidy. I frowned. Who was she and why is she touching my Cass? Cassidy didn't seem to mind. He was hugging her back with one arm since I refused to let go of his hand.
"Oh my god, Maya! You look amazing!" He cried.
What the hell? Cassidy thought this girl looked amazing?! Who was she to my Cass!
"Cassie! I've missed you so much! You look good too! Look at that booty."
I gasped. How dare she look at Cass like that! My wolf growled in displeasure at the stranger. What if she was Cassidy's ex-girlfriend? I growled and pulled Cassidy into my arms, away from her and snarled menacingly at her. I was very close to wolfing out. She looked stunned. Good. She should be. Nobody touches my mate but me!
"Alex!" Cass cried. "Let go of me! What is wrong with you?" My wolf whined. Our mate was upset at us.
But I couldn't bring myself to let go. I whined in frustration and guilt. Cassidy's eyes softened.
"Maya, could you give us a moment please?" He asked without turning away.
She shot us curious glances but nodded and walked back into the store. I stared until she disappeared completely from my sight. Without her presence, I turned back to Cassidy. He looked at me, waiting. I stared back until it was obvious that I wasn't going to say anything. He sighed.
"Are you going to tell me what just happened?"
"No."
He groaned in frustration. I looked away.
"Alex. You just growled at my best friend. Whom I haven't seen in years."
Best friend? Not a girlfriend? Just like that, my jealously evaporated into nothing. I was feeling the full effect of guilt and shame now. I didn't know how to tell Cassidy that I was jealous, so I didn't say anything.
"Alex, were you jealous?" Shit.
"No." I shake my head blushing.
"Oh my god, Alex! You were jealous," he exclaimed. "That's cute."
I looked at him. "You're not mad?" I asked worriedly.
"No, I'm not. But I would appreciate it if you didn't growl at Maya. She's like a sister to me."
I nodded a little ashamed of myself for overreacting. He pulled me into a hug, fingers playing at my hairline comfortingly. He tip-toed and pressed a chaste kiss to my lips. Then he turned, still in my arms so that I was holding him from behind and called Maya to come out.
She responded saying, "Is it safe yet?"
"Yeah. The beauty has tamed the beast." He called back.
I nipped at his ear for that remark. He yelped and reached behind to pinch my bottom. I tightened my arms around him and growled lowly in his ear. He reached between us and rubbed a hand against my soft cock which was now hardening. I grit my teeth and leaned down to-
"Gentlemen, while all this is very sexy and entertaining, there are people watching, " She trailed off.
Both of us blushed in embarrassment. She laughed.
"Hi! I'm Maya. His best friend, almost sister. Just so you know and don't get jealous. Again." She said, introducing herself.
My face heated up again when I remembered how I growled at her just now. "Sorry," I said sheepishly.
She cooed. "He's so cute! Where did you find him?"
"In the woods," He said wryly. "He saved me from a bandit attack."
She gasped, very dramatically in my opinion. “A knight in shining armour!" She squealed.
"Something like that," I said with a crooked smile. She swooned. I watched wide-eyed, a little overwhelmed by her presence. Cassidy just laughed. At that, I smiled a little. I loved it when he laughed.
We stayed and chatted for a while until it was nearly midday. Then, Cassidy brought me to this drink stall and ordered a large cup of a tropical blend. We shared it as we walked on. A little later, we left the market and went for lunch in a seafood restaurant. It was run by changelings. They were half mermaid half elfin apparently and their food was caught by their very own hands. Probably had something to do with how they could shift into a mermaid at will. The food was good. It was all merfolk cuisine. I was more of a steak guy but Cass enjoyed it, so I did too.
We had spent the whole day in town, sightseeing and just being a couple. We were weary from walking all day.
Back at the castle, we had a quick meal and shower together. It was a mutual decision to turn in early. We snuggled up, sighing in contentment. I rubbed my cheek on his hair and relaxed. My hands rubbed his back while he pressed his face in my chest. The tension from today's tiring adventures slowly ebbed away.
I whispered softly, "I love you." Just as sleep washed over me.
