Azure to Emerald,
To Cobalt night.
And finally down into darkness.
First falling fast,
Through blinding, cloudless skies.
Then seeping into ancient stone,
Through great mountainous worlds,
And soft, moss green valleys underfoot.
And finally down to the Sea.
The beckoning whispers,
Of clear water under clouded ice.
I lay upon the softest Earth,
Settled beneath the Sea.
Drifting off a ledge beneath the waves,
Swirling in the filmy dark.
As all the fallen have before me.
And as always they will,
Even beyond forever.
All of these things are the wonders of falling great distances
For this,
Is the nature of falling,
Through the eyes of another,
From a life beyond time.
