A week later,
Ray wakes up only to get startled. As soon as he opens his eyes, he sees a lady in nuns outfit sitting beside him. Unaware of the situation he is in, Ray pounces at the nun causing him and her to fall on the floor. Ray tries to restrain the nun arms with all his might.
"Who are you?"
Ray asks.
Before Ray could finish his question, the nun kicks rays away only to then knock Him out cold with one punch right in his guts. The last thing Ray hears before becoming unconscious was,
"Please, calm down, sir!"
Hours later,
Ray wakes up again, this time though his arms and legs were tightly restrained.
"My name is Elena Hoffman, I am a Local Healer working for The Village Church."
"Doctor Lukas found you lying Injured in the Dragon Valley, during one of his expeditions."
"He brought me here to heal your wounds, right after he brought you back to his house."
After hearing her explanation, Ray calms down a bit, despite having countless questions running back of his mind.
Ray asks,
"Where is Doctor Lukas now?"
the nun gives a reply to his question,
"well, he and Liam have gone into the neighboring forest to Hunt for some food."
Soon after Ray hears her speak, both Liam and Lukas returned.
"We are home!"
Both Liam and Lukas reply simultaneously before stepping into the house. After hearing both their voices Elena Hoffman (the nun) went out of the room to greet them. Although the door of the room was shut, Ray could easily hear all the conversation happening beyond the walls. Most of the conversation Ray hears was useless except for the part which mentioned why the Doctor and Liam were conducting expeditions. Ray had his inner thoughts running a high while the conversation was going on outside.
"wow!"
"The Dragons and the Priest ordeal could get me in lot trouble if I don't handle it properly!"
"What should I do?..."
"What should I do?..."
"Wait!"
"I've got an idea!"
Right when Ray got an idea in his head to get rid of all this mess, Lukas Muller enters the room alone to chat with Ray.
"Hello, Sir!"
"How are you feeling now?"
"Are your Injuries getting well?"
Ray replies,
"I am feeling all right, thanks to the nun's treatment."
Seeing Ray in a Healthy state, Lukas decides to ask Ray some questions,
"By the way, what were you doing in the Dragon valley?"
"didn't you know, only people who have permission from the Guild Are allowed to enter that region?"
Ray replies,
"is that so? I did not know that."
"Do I, by any chance, know you?"
Lukas replies with a Confused no quickly asks Ray another question,
"What were you doing up there anyway?"
Ray replies,
"I don't know."
Lukas asks,
"Judging from your accent, you don't sound like you are from around Helvetia?"
"where are you from?"
Ray replies,
"I don't know."
Lukas asks,
"What is your name?"
Ray replies,
"I don't know."
Lukas asks in an angry tone,
"Well then, what do you know?"
Ray replies with a frustrating voice,
"I don't know."
As the interrogation was going no were, Lukas calls Elena inside the room,
"Miss Elena, could you come in, please?"
"yes, Doctor Lukas? what is the matter?"
Lukas asks,
"Are there any side-effects to any of your healing methods?"
Elena Replies,
"no."
Lukas asks,
"then why can't he remember anything?"
Elena Replies,
"memory loss can happen if someone suffers a serious head injury or from a mental trauma caused by some traumatic event in the past."
"there are Spells to recover lost thoughts that we can use in such cases. but I wouldn't recommend doing so."
Lukas asks,
"And why is that?"
Elena Replies,
"well, the spells that I know of can bring back lost thought. but, such spells tend to have side-effects either for the caster or the recipient."
Lukas asks,
"What kind of side-effects are we talking about here?"
Elena Replies,
"in most of the cases, the caster has to sacrifice his/her memory to retrieve the recipient's lost memory. either way, in this case, I don't think the Sacrifice is worth the risk."
Lukas asks,
"How long does it take for him to recover his lost thoughts?"
Elena Replies,
"It may take a few days, months, even years based on the injury inflicted. we will have to take the patient to the capital if we want to treat his memory loss properly."
