Back from my art block, enjoy this cute view of Riven ;).
I have conflicting feelings about him and not on whether I “hate” him or not but rather on which are the parts of his character and behaviour I should explicitly show and which parts should I just hint at ... I am not that good at story-telling and I fear that if I won’t explain things I will not be able to deliver the underlying message... am I ovethinking?
Noah is not the main character... even to his own story.
He is your average twenty-something guy who still goes to college and has: a part time job at the local library and kind the nerve to still believe in the existence of “Soulmates”.
And then there’s his soulmate, that sad little brat he can’t manage to take his mind off of anyway.
In a world where from the beginning “God” didn’t settle on “making them only male and female” but subdivided humans into secondary genders, will the pursue of true love and pure feelings be easier or will this inherently earthly nature turn feral?
