“Pack meeting in 20 minutes.” Alpha Kent’s voice booms in my head. Both Raven and Ella jump awake. I pulled my phone from under my pillow, checking the time with one eye open. Why would there be a pack meeting at 12 in the morning? The three of us get out of my bed, getting the appropriate gear on to go out into the cold Washington weather.
“Dude it better be important to get up at this time in the morning,” Raven grumbles angrily.
“Better than it being three am I guess.” I shrug while putting my boots on. We didn’t change out of our pajamas, we just put on our coats and made our way out of my parent’s house. My parents were already in their SUV waiting on us.
Once we were inside of the vehicle, my dad drove us to the packhouse where meetings were held. “What’s with a pack meeting this late?” I asked my parents, letting out a yawn soon after.
“No idea.” My dad grumbles sleepily.
When we had made it to the packhouse, other wolves alike were walking their way to the entrance to the packhouse. Everyone holding a questioning look on their faces. We’ve never had a pack meeting so early or well late.
Once the twenty minutes are up Alpha Kent walks outside of the Pack house’s doors. He looked like he hadn’t been to sleep yet, the elder Alpha had on his dress shirt unbuttoned, his tie hung loosely around his neck. He had salt and pepper hair, blue eyes just as brilliant as Alexandre’s. Luna Graciella held onto his hand, her head leaning against his bicep. Alexandre stood on the other side of his father, his hair an absolute mess, he was only in his plaid pajama pants and a thin t-shirt, like he had just gotten out of bed. Onyx stood next to him wearing her coat and sweatpants, her hair pulled neatly back by a French braid, sleep still in her eyes. Alexandre put his arm around her shoulders and she rested her head on his chest.
“Sorry about calling you all so late.” Alpha Kent’s voice booms, traveling around the area. “We had an incident happen earlier, where a handful of our Warriors had found an Omega, thinking they were a rogue. They are in stable condition and are said to be released tomorrow from the pack healer. I had my Warrior’s go out and check in the surrounding areas of our territory and we have uncovered hundreds of Omega’s- I ask the Dominant wolves to help us in the mission of securing these Omega’s after dawn breaks.” He paused, looking at the crowd of wolves. There were groans of annoyance in the crowd, making the Alpha growl in dominance over all of us. I shivered, cowering down in submission to the Alpha. Raven and Ella doing the same.
“Our future Luna has gained intel from the rescued Omega, they say that they’re seeking asylum and we’re going to do just that. I ask again from all Dominant wolves to help build a new housing area for these Omega’s as they get themselves settled into the pack. During our next full moon ceremony, we will be initiating them into the pack. Our next full moon ceremony, everyone that is able-bodied is to attend, it will be longer than others. Some of our warriors and their families will be transferred to a pack in Oregon and we will also be initiating their young warriors. This week, we will be canceling classes for students, we encourage the students to come and help us with the rescue of the Omega’s and any submissive or Omega’s to help them get settled into our temporary housing situation. I ask all members of the pack if they have extra rooms in their home to open them up to our new members.”
I look over at my dad who nods his head, before resting his chin on the top of my mom’s head. It looked like our house wouldn’t be so empty for a while.
“That’s all for tonight, I’ll see whoever is willing to help in the morning.” He dismisses us.
“Hey Penelope, we’re going to let them use the other three rooms, right?” My dad asked my mom as we walked back to my dad's vehicle.
“I’m not heartless, Jax.” She rolled her eyes.
“Just checking.” He smiles back at her, nudging her shoulder with his.
“I guess I’ll start getting the bed’s made tonight, do you mind helping me, August?” My mom asked me, I nod in response. “Also Raven, Ella we’re going to drop you guys off at your parent's house so that way we can make sure we’re ready.”
“But…” Ella whispers.
“I’ll drop the bag of his stuff off tomorrow morning after we’re done helping the Omega’s out. Don’t worry, love.” I wrap my arm around the smaller Omega’s shoulders.
“Thank you.” She sighs in relief knowing what her worry was.
At least she was wearing one of his shirts at the moment so she would survive the night.
“I’m sure my parents will be willing to let the two spare bedrooms in our house go seeing as my brother and sister are with their mates currently,” Raven stated.
“My mom and I will meet you in the morning then.” I smiled at him.
“Sounds like a plan. Even though I value my sleep, maybe we can see if they’re going to be preparing breakfast for everyone in the morning that’s helping out.” I shrug my shoulders not knowing what was to happen in the morning.
