“Alpha, there are others in the woods, it turns out it wasn’t rogues after all.” The Delta looked worried as he explained what they found. The Delta of the pack, dealt with commanding the Warriors of the pack. Only large packs had warriors such as ours; the larger the pack the more warriors there were.
“What do you mean?” Alexandre looks at the elder Delta in the eyes with confusion clouding them.
“It’s Omega’s, young Alpha.” He looked at the young Omega in his arms. “We attacked thinking that he was about to attack one of ours.” The Omega in Delta Wes’s arm groaned in pain, the bite marks on his thighs were bleeding profusely.
“How certain are you that they're all Omega’s?” His voice deepened almost to a growl.
“I can’t guarantee you they’re all Omega’s, sir but I think the majority of the wolves that we’ve been watching for the past few weeks have been Omega’s because most of them haven’t attacked anything bigger than a bunny,” Wes replies.
“Give the Omega to me, gather the pack warriors, and scout the area around our territory. Give my father a report on what you find by this evening.” He holds him out for the small Omega, who had bruises that were yellowing on his arms and face. I knew the warriors didn’t cause that damage.
“We’ll have the report to Alpha Kent by dusk.” Wes nods his head and rounds up the warriors that were nearby with a wave of his hand.
“Onyx, once we get the Omega settled, will you stay with him?” Alexandre asked her.
“Of course.” She gives the older teen a small smile of reassurance.
“Y’all can meet me in the SUV. It won't take that long with Kathy.” He directed to Elias and me, in which we nodded in response.
Elias and I walk back to Alexandre’s SUV in silence and by the time we reach the vehicle Elias speaks up. “Thank you for helping my sister, and I’m sorry for losing my cool there. I’m just so frustrated that my sister is in so much pain. It hurts knowing that she’s a mess at the moment and there's nothing I can do to help her.” His voice cracked at the end.
“It’s okay, I wanted to lose my cool on him too, but I reminded myself that we can change it day by day. Maybe he’ll go back to his pack and realize how fucked they are over there. Only time will tell.” I shrugged my shoulders.
“Then the Omega from the woods…” He muttered to himself, glancing thoughtfully towards the trees. “Why do you think they were out there?”
“Honestly I don’t think they’re out there because they want to be… That little Omega had bruises that he didn’t get from our warriors.” I explained, my mind flashed back to the yellowing bruises around his neck. I shivered at the thought.
“I just hope the others are alright.” He murmurs. “I think they should take a few Omega’s with them because their noses are more sensitive than the normal wolf’s.”
“I’m sure they’re going to be more cautious about what they’re doing,” I reassured him. Alexandre finally had made it back to the car. He lets out a breath and runs his hands over his face before starting the vehicle up.
“How is the kid?” Elias asked the Alpha.
“He’s doing alright, he passed out from the pain and exhaustion. Kathy thinks he’ll be awake by tomorrow morning. Thankfully the bites weren’t that deep and there won’t be any scarring.” He told us.
“Thank you, Alpha.”
“I’m going to drop you guys off at your house Elias, can you please make sure that August makes it back home?” He asked the younger wolf.
“Yes, Alpha,” Elias answers, tapping his finger on his knee.

Once we arrived at my parents’ house, Elias followed me upstairs, carrying the bag full of Joseph’s clothes. When we had opened the door, I saw Ella on the bed, clutching her chest as tears trailed down her cheeks. Raven sat behind her cross-legged, combing through her hair.
“Hey love, I’m back.” I climbed on the bed in front of her, she let out a low whine and grabbed my hand, pulling it to her chest.
Elias lets out a low growl from behind me. I looked back at him and shooed him away, he glared at me for a second before he dropped the bag beside the door and left the room. I let out a sigh of relief, hoping he wouldn’t do anything stupid.
I pull my hand from hers and climb out of the bed. “I have something that might make you feel a little better Ella.” I grab one of his sweaters out of the bag and I saunter back over to the bed. I put it in front of her face and she greedily took it out of my hands. “I went over to his place today, I had Onyx help me locate him so I could get this for you.”
“Thank you,” She put her face into the fabric, inhaling her mate's scent. “I’m kind of hungry.” She finally states. Both Raven and I let out a breath that we hadn’t known we had been holding.
“Let’s see what my mom is cooking for dinner.” I held my hand out to my redheaded friend. She gingerly grabs it and we go downstairs, the scent of my mom's chicken noodle soup hits my nose. Her chicken noodle soup was the bomb dot com. She even made her own noodles and everything.
“Hey kids,” She says, looking up from cutting the vegetables up and putting them in the pot that was already boiling. She gives Ella a sympathetic smile and she sets the knife she was using to cut the celery down on the cutting board. She wipes her hands off with the towel that was sitting next to her and she opens her arms for the Omega. Ella rushed into my mom's arms, squeezing her tightly. “How are you feeling?” My mom pulls away from Ella’s embrace.
“As good as I can be at the moment.” She whimpered, I could see the tears start building up in her eyes.
“Don’t worry little one, things will always get better.” My mom brushes a strand of her hair and tucks it behind her ear. “Are you in the mood to eat tonight? I’m making your favorite.”
“I’m pretty hungry now.” She responded to my mom.
“That’s good to hear love, it’ll be done in around 30 minutes or less. Why don’t y’all go outside for some fresh air?” My mom suggested to us. I nod in agreement. Maybe some fresh air will feel good for my friend who had been cooped up in my room all day.
“That sounds wonderful.” Raven wraps his arm around Ella’s shoulder, directing her out of my parents’ house.
The three of us walked around the neighborhood a few times, mostly in silence. “Thank you, Aug,” Ella said to me, she had been smelling the sleeve of the wolves’ sweater the entire time we’ve been out of the house.
“I think if we give him the time he’ll come around. Sometimes I think we forget other packs in this world treat their Omega’s completely differently.” I tap my chin in thought.
“I think so too.” Raven chimed in.
“How do you know?” Ella whispered, looking over to me.
“Honestly I think he’s very confused. If it makes you feel a little better, he looked just as miserable as you have been.” I state, meeting her gaze. “I found out he’s a Beta in another pack. I think he also feels shame because his pack is like one of those packs.”
“My shit luck,” Ella whined, rolling her eyes.
“I mean I really think he’s remorseful, you just need to give him some time. I did warn him not to take too long because you’re my fiery redhead who doesn’t take shit for nothing.” I give her a halfhearted smile.
“He better not, because I’ll whoop his ass.” Raven cracked his knuckles. Both Ella and I start roaring in laughter.
“You.” Ella gasped between her laughs. “You’re kidding me right?”
“What? All five foot three of you? Dude, you’re like a hundred and ten pounds you’ll hurt yourself attempting to punch the dude.” I hollered in laughter.
“Shut up.” Raven slumped his shoulder, offended from our laughter. “Fuckers. Your lack of confidence in me is insulting.” Making Ella start gasping for air.
Once we were calmed down Ella gets two steps ahead of us and spins on her foot, facing toward both Raven and I. “Thank you two, I honestly don’t think I would be okay without the both of you. I would still be laying in my bed at home crying my heart out. I mean my heart still hurts, Greta is still crying out for her mate, but it’s better.” She hugged both of us. “If this happens to y’all I’ll kill the fuckers. The only one that's allowed to break y’all’s heart is me!”
“Ain’t that the damn truth.” Raven huffs out a small laugh.
