Henry states with no hint of doubt in his voice, “We can’t defeat her.”
Why is Henry saying this? I thought he could be defeated by nobody according to himself.
Is he talking from experience? Or is he just being an annoyance?
Eastia explains, “The healer will be released once she is done, and that should end my mission here.”
“Mission?” I question.
Eastia expounds, “I’m a mercenary for hire, rather well known too, I’ve heard of you and your party, but honestly I’m disappointed. I expected a worthy warrior that would push me to my limits but all I find is a waste of potential.”
“That joke isn’t funny, do you even know how to make jokes?” I mockingly ask.
I get hit on the head at a strength that is akin to a gorilla.
“How about you shut your little mouth!” Eastia orders.
“Where do you think I could improve then?” I reluntendly ask.
“I’ll train you and your current group, I think you have the potential to be stronger than Nash.” Eastia states.
Certain memories come flooding back like a massive tsunami hitting shore.
Nash is the guy who has my daughter with him but she lied to him.
I need to get her back, the means don’t matter.
“Okay, I’ll accept your training, Eastia.” I state with renewed resolve.
I notice Arc-Bow starting to get back on his feet, it seems Medi has finished healing him.
Arc-Bow then says something that I never thought a mob boss would ever say, “I’ll give this life of crime up now as per to our agreement Eastia.”
Eastia nods then starts walking toward Henry and myself.
She drags us both out of the mob’s base.
“We are getting on a ship to Smith Island, when the vessel makes it to its destination, we will go to Dirtwater.” Eastia declares with a strictness that goes unrivaled.
On the way out Slade notices us and without a moment of hesitation, takes both of his daggers out and starts attacking Eastia.
They exchange blows for a brief period of time, until I manage to calm Slade down.
After that, Slade is informed that Eastia is on our side.
Eastia points at the horn like spikes on Slade’s hair and says, “Are you a type of tiefling or something? These are the strangest horns I’ve ever seen on one.”
This pisses Slade off something fierce.
After a lot of shouting and sailor language, Slade calmed down.
We enter the bar with Medi, she and her father reunite.
I turn over to Eastia, whom is standing proudly and I impatiently ask, “Are we gonna get a boat to Smith Island now?”
She violently grabs my right arm and declares, “I already got one ready, we depart now!”
She starts dragging me to the boat while the others follow.
This is my life now, great.
