I woke up a little late, and didn't care enough to change out of my pajamas. I had gone down to eat breakfast, Mom had left a note saying she left for work, and would be back around 4. Dad was still probably asleep in bed. I had decided to wait for Jane by watching TV.
Noon came faster than I expected, I got up from the comfort of the couch to answer the door. Jane was looking around outside, she was wearing what looked like lounge pants and a knitted sweater. "Nice sweater, Grandmother?"
She jumped when she looked at me, I guess she wasn't expecting me yet. After she got a over the shock she put her hand on her chest. "Has anyone ever told you that your terrifying?" I move out of the way so she could come in.
After I close the door I look at her, "Yes I did, my brother often complains about how I come out of nowhere. He screams like a girl when I scare him." I laugh, only half joking. I lead Jane to my room, taking the bag from her other hand. "You have all your stuff?"
"Yes, I do." We go to my room, and I put her bag on the bed. I go to the closet to grab my dress and shoes. Jane takes her dress from the bag and heads off to the bathroom. I change in my room, the black lace dress is just a inch above my knee, the silver behind the lace looks so beautiful.
Jane comes back into the room wearing her red lace dress. The lace flowers look beautiful on her, and the lack of fabric on her sides really show off the curves she wanted to highlight. She turns around showing the lace on her back that shows everything above her waste and bellow where the back of her bra is.
"Damn, guess that guy wasn't lying when he said it would look good on you." I'm surprised that he could find a dress like that, within maybe half the time it took us to look.
"Yours looks good too, where did you find it?" She is smiling and my face just drops. I thought she found it, what does she mean? "What? Did I say something wrong?"
I feel completely dumbfounded. I should have asked her there, "Uh... No... It's just... I thought that you were the one who found it." She looks at me, giving me her normal look of 'what the hell are you talking about now'. "When I said feel free to hand me a dress if you find one. This dress and another were hanging on the door. I thought it was you that put them over."
"It wasn't, but maybe the dresses were already their. You probably didn't look around first so you wouldn't have seen it." I know she is just trying to help me calm down, but the wheels in my head were really spinning. If it was that guy it might make sense, but he wouldn't have known my style, and even if it was him why would he come up to us? "We probably won't see him again, it'll be fine. What was he anyway?"
"Your probably right, he said that he designed the dresses there. I really hope your right." I really don't know what I would do if he were following me. Maybe it could just be coincidence, but at what point does coincidence turn into stalking? "So... Uh... What do you intend to do for make up?" We both head to the bathroom, and I jump onto the counter with the bathroom sink. Jane is in front of me with her make up, she puts blush on my skin. We both have fair skin, the makeup makes us look like we are not as white as paper. Next she does a light pink blush, it's barely noticeable on my cheeks. She does eyeliner, giving me little cat eye lashes, and a silver-blue eyeshadow that makes my light blue eyes pop. She puts on a light pink lip gloss, and then turns to doing her own makeup. I look at the counter and stare at my face. I don't wear makeup, I feel like I don't need it. I promised for my 21st birthday Jane could do my hair and the make up. Just looking at my face in the mirror makes me feel like a doll, If my eyes were glass I'd probably be mistaken for one.
"You like it?" Jane looks at me, almost finished with her make up. She has a similar cat eye, and red eyeshadow. I nod, and she turns to start doing my dirty blonde hair.
By the time we are done with my hair, and Jane has finished curling hers it's time to get ready to leave. Mom is home and hugging us, I grab my phone and a small handbag purse, and put my shoes on. Jane has her shoes on, and her little handbag. We both escape my Dad's grasp for hugs by hurrying out.
My mom yells behind us, "Be safe, if you need a ride feel free to call. And please don't let her drive drunk." We nod and give our okays, and will do.
We get to Jane's light blue Audi, and turn on the heat. Despite the snow, it's not all that cold. We jam to music on our way to the bar.
When we get to the bar and walk in, we look for our small group. Jane finds them first and drags me.
Jack is wearing black skinny jeans and a navy shirt, his pale skin contrasts with the dark clothes. In the bars bad lighting he looks like a head with hands.
Thomas is wearing jeans, and a white or yellow top. His dark skin suits the light color shirt. I look at his shoes half expecting the neon green convers that are always on his feet.
Eliza has an arm around Jack and is wearing a lace, navy blue dress. Between the three of us, Eliza is wearing the most stripper worthy outfit. Her dress is mid thigh, is fitted to look like it was plastered on her skin. The bottom of the dress is silk, and the waist is all lace, no fabric. The top is also silk like the bottom.
I am beginning to feel like I might be the only girl here with no intention of finding a guy.
Jessica is in the group, she is wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Her brown hair was shaved not long ago, it got donated, so now her appearance matches that of Zack. Jessica has beautiful tan skin, that looks good with her dark shirt, I'm surprised she isn't cold.
Zack is wearing jeans and a sweatshirt, he has an arm around his brother, and is messing with his hair. Andrew is wearing jeans and some dark colored long sleeved shirt.
"Hey, there's the birthday girl. Let's go find seats, so we can get drinks." Jack starts herding us into a booth in the corner.
I look around the bar while they order drinks and food. There is people dancing to music being played, some people are watching sports in a different corner. At the bar there is a guy, sitting alone, he looks the same as the guy from the store. That might just be a coincidence though.
"Hey Lilie?" I look up to Jack speaking. "I brought a friend with me, I wanted to ask before I let him come over here. I tried to text you, but you didn't respond."
I pull out my phone and sure enough there is a message from Jack. "Hey, so... can I bring a friend? He wanted to hang out, and it's been since forever. He's a cool dude, I don't know if you would call him hot. I said that it's a friends birthday, if you don't want him to join that's fine." I look up at him, "Uh... Yeah sure I guess. I didn't see the message."
He pulls out his phone and types some words, then the guy at the bar checks his phone and comes towards us. "Sorry to intrude, I'm Jack's friend Austin." I look at Jane completely dumbfounded. Both our mouths are open looking at each other. It's the guy from the store, who she said we probably wouldn't see again.
Austin, was wearing a light blue fitted shirt, and he might even have slacks on like the other day. He might even have jeans like all the other guys around the table. Austin chose to sit near me and Jack, I was on the chair on the edge of the table with Jane. Jack was on the edge of the booth, but now Austin is and Jack has scooted away.
Our drinks and food come not long after Austin joins. He settles for water, while everyone else takes the alcohol. We are talking, laughing. I don't really understand the conversation, though I did only have like 3 drinks. I get up to go to the bathroom, and almost fall over. Austin helps keep me from stumbling without getting up. I make my way to the back of the bar where the bathroom sign says they are.
When I get out of the bathroom, my vision is still blurry, but I can see someone standing by the exit. "Lilie right?"
"Uh... Yeah... What's it to you? Who are you anyway?" I don't recognize the voice, it's deep and smooth, sexy.
"Austin, your friend Jane said she was gonna go with Jack, and they all had things to do. I'll take you home, Jane gave me the address." I don't really believe him, but Jane did want a guy, why would my presence stop her.
"Ok, then... If she told you my address what is it?" I kinda hope he doesn't know, that would make it easier to tell he is lying.
"675 Elmarks Rd, Winson, Almada, 60517 is the address she told me." FUCK, Jack doesn't even know where my house is cause we always meet a Jane's or a park or school. Damn, Jane I didn't think you would be the one to tell someone where my house is.
"Fine... Lets go..." I try to walk forward, but my balance is so off, I end up falling. Austin picks me up, my vison is already blurry so I don't see how we leave, what exit we go through. Or if my friends are even at the booth. We go to his car, and I am placed in the back seat. During the car ride, I end up falling asleep. The lights the past, and the warm air put me to sleep. I don't wake up during the ride. My phone doesn't go off, and Austin threw a blanket or something over me, that keeps me warm when he turns the heat down. It's so comfortable, when sleep takes me I am willing. Not even thinking about what could be horribly wrong.
