Recognizing the hopelessness of their situation, he shouts at 'Lucy' "If you want me, let Alice go unharmed."

With Alice in tears begging him not to. After a few strange incoherent sounds, the bed opens the window and brutally pushes Alice out of it, as she tries kissing Tom. He quickly rushes toward the window as the bed slams it shut.

As Tom sees Alice lying motionless on the ground outside. He shouts at 'Lucy' thinking she'd killed Alice, while banging against the bedroom window. Lucy writes G E T  O N  T H E  B E D in flaming letters on the wall. As Tom quickly runs to the door and desperately tries to open it, while scornfully refusing to do so.

The bed then mutates as it regurgitates the remains of its tragic victims. As the bed speaks in a disjointed unintelligible way. The bed launches its writhing tentacles, grabbing Tom's legs, vainly trying to pull him on to it.

As Tom furiously fights them off, he sees the mutilated remains of James, Britney, Hannah, Eileen, Mike, and Daniel. Tom looks away in revulsion, as he desperately hangs on to the door handle. As his legs are ripped off by the bed.

Tom screams in unbearable agony. As he turns his head again and beholds a mutilated adolescent woman. Sitting on the bed, holding out her hand to him. Which Tom rebuffs as he continues holding on to the door handle.

The woman shrieks at Tom, as she turns into a raging fire which consumes the bed, as the whole room is engulfed in flames. Outside, Alice gets up and helplessly looks on as the flat burns down, as she screams hysterically for Tom. She is consoled by passers-by as firefighters and police cars show up. Alice then faints and is taken to hospital.
