Tom places Alice's suitcase down in the hall and promptly goes into the kitchen to check on dinner, before offering to make Alice a drink, as he gives her a tour of the flat. He next takes Alice upstairs, showing her the bed.

Alice is impressed, "It's beautiful," she says as she gently touches the bed's exquisite furnishings.

She next opens her suitcase and starts to place her clothes in the wardrobe. They go downstairs, as Tom places candles on the table. It's all very passionate as they sit down to a candlelit dinner. Talking gently about their relationship. Tom discreetly places a small box on the table.

"Is that what I believe it is?" Says Alice excitedly.

She unlocks the box, finding a stunning diamond ring inside. Tom gets up from the table, going down on one knee in front of her and tentatively proposes.

Alice gushes, replying "Yes!"

As Tom delicately places the glittering ring on her finger. Tom and Alice then hear some odd sounds from upstairs.

"What's that noise?" Asks Alice curiously.

"Nothing." Replies Tom awkwardly. "I think we may have some rats or something."

After a brief pause, Alice hesitantly says she had a surprise for Tom as well, gently telling him she's pregnant. Tom is at first shocked but is extremely happy to be a father, as he tenderly kisses Alice on the lips. Suddenly, the phone rings as Tom gets up from the candlelit table to see who was calling, putting the phone on speaker.

It was Sarah, who apologized for calling him so late. Because she wanted to see if Tom had heard from Britney in the last few days. Because no one else she has spoken with have seen or heard from her since the party, which was very strange. And Sarah was naturally worried and was thinking of calling the police.

Tom said he hadn't heard from her. He suggests speaking to Britney's parents first, to see if they have spoken to her. Sarah replies that Britney's parents were on holiday and would be back tomorrow morning, she left a message on their answerphone. Tom said he would let Sarah know if he hears anything.

Following his conversation with Sarah. Tom repeatedly tries dialing Britney's phone number, but the line remains dead and he fails to get through.

"Is something wrong?" Enquires Alice.

"No, everything's fine" replies Tom smiling reassuringly. "I'm sure Britney will turn up, she always does! As he then helps Alice with the washing up. 

After a few hours, Tom & Alice decide to call it a night as they go upstairs and climb into bed, quickly falling asleep.
