"Man, I can't wait !!!"
With excitement, Ray heads out of the cave to test the book when Suddenly something comes thrashing down from the sky.
"Wow! so bright."
"What is it?"
Ray thought it was a meteor without wasting another second, decides to use the book to cast a barrier, but it was too late.
"Boom!"
"What the hell?"
The meteor crashes about one kilometer away from the cave, the impact is so loud that Ray gets pushed back inside the cave.
After the dust settles,
"Aww, my ears are ringing like hell!"
"How am I alive?"
"The impact, it should have been big enough to completely wipe out the surrounding area!"
Ray heads out of the cave to check the extent of the damage done. To Ray's surprise, the trees have been bent over by the shock wave, but he could not see any fire around him.
"Whatever it was, it definitely was not a Meteor!"
Ray head to the site by foot instead of using the book as he wanted to conserve as much aura as possible in case if he needs to rely on the book's abilities.
"I better not waste any aura like last time."
It took about seven minutes for Ray to reach the crater.
"What the hell?"
"Is that a person?"
Being curious yet cautious, Ray slowly pulls back and hides behind the rocks from there he could hide and still keep an eye on this unknown human.
"Should I confront him? or should I wait and watch?"
After a deep thought, Ray decides to wait and see whether this person was a friend or a foe. The person looked like a Monk who was probably in his forties who had a bald head, a muscular build, and not to forget a blond mustache.
"The outfit looks quite similar to the person from my dream earlier?"
"I look like he has something strapped around his waist?"
The Monk takes something out of the bag While Ray was having these thoughts.
"Wait?"
"Is that a book?"
The Monk opens the book, flips some of its pages, and then cast something which to Ray it looked like a spell.
"What is he up to?"
The Monk looking at one of the book's pages suddenly gives a creepy smile.
"Yup, it's official now, he is definitely a freak!"
"Better keep my distance."
Right then, the Monk disappeared out of nowhere.
"Where did he go?"
Thinking that his position was compromised, Ray Decides to turn back and head back to the cave.
"What the... ?"
Ray quickly turns back.
"I finally found it!"
"You boy, hand over the book, and If I am generous enough, I might even let you live."
After hearing the Monk talk, Ray gets surprised.
"How can he speak my language?"
"Maybe its the book?"
"If so, then it will be quite handy."
"Question?"
Ray asks The Monk.
"What is it?"
The Monk replies.
"Why do you want this book anyway?"
Ray asks.
The Monk replies.
"The book is the rightful property of his majesty king, Augustus Kane-III."
"Now, hand it over."
After hearing that, Ray says.
"Too bad I can't return it just yet."
"I have got important stuff to do with this book."
"You can have it back if you want after I am done with it."
The Monk gets pissed off and replies to Ray's comment in an angry tone.
"Looks like words won't work on you, then perhaps force will."
The Monk quickly cast a spell which creates a spear of light, which he then throws at Ray. Ray quickly dodges the first attack that came from the Monk.
"Woo..."
"That was a close one!"
"Are you trying to kill me, Monk?"
The Monk quickly fires another volley of the spear at Ray, unable to dodge it in time, Ray decides to cast a barrier to counter the spear, but something happens.
"What... the...?"
"The barrier did not work, why?"
The spear had penetrated through Ray's chest, piercing through his heart, blood gushing all over, and then Ray fall's down headfirst.
The Monk approaches Ray and pick's up the book,
"I'll be taking this now."
"I had hoped to avoid any bloodshed, but you wouldn't listen."
"Now, Rest in peace."
The Monk returned as he had arrived, While Ray was left to die.
