The next day, Elon appears on the cell TV screens, eagerly examining the remaining prisoners. Staring at Matt & Tyson, he bluntly tells them they won't last much longer. He informs the condemned prisoners of the apt title of the upcoming game. Which is called 'Hide and Seek' and will take place at a skyscraper named tower forty-two.
Elon subsequently selects Matt & Tyson to participate. The overhead screen then abruptly switches off. Matt & Tyson immediately swallow the pills as guards enter their cell and place blindfolds around their heads.
When the blindfolds are removed again, they find themselves standing inside the skyscraper. And are told that monsters will stalk them for thirty minutes. With the contestants being able to pursue the monsters for thirty minutes after that. Elon graciously gives them sixty seconds to conceal themselves as the game commences.
Matt & Tyson aren't separated this time, as they hastily run about looking for somewhere to hide. They noted that parts of the building were adequately or dimly lit. Other areas were completely dark with concealed doors and corridors.
Matt decides to enter a pitch-black hall, as the sixty seconds end with Tyson rapidly following. They both hear ominous growls and footsteps in the hall. Matt & Tyson cling doggedly to each other by the hand because it's pitch black. Remaining silent, Tyson begins sweating profusely, with the snarling growls and footsteps getting closer.
Tyson fumbles around the gritty floor and discovers a bulky object. Which he promptly launches to the other side of the hall, generating a tremendous thud as it rolls along the ground.
The predatory footsteps and ominous growls then charge towards the noise. After that, they discern nothing except their heavy breathing and distant commotion from outside the hall. Matt & Tyson whisper to each other as they sit down with their backs to the wall. Matt whispers to Tyson again, but he appears to have passed out. As Matt becomes increasingly disorientated, the drugs take effect, as he loses consciousness as well.
