Matt & Tyson are taken for medical treatment for the injuries they suffered. After being washed, a pair of nurses sit each of them on a treatment table and tend to their wounds.
"You handled yourself pretty well back there" says Matt admiringly.
"Thanks." Replies Tyson grimacingly. After a nurse starts cleaning his leg.
"I'm in a local militia along with Lucas, where we take care of our own. Because around here, no one else will." As Tyson remarks. "You did pretty well yourself for a journalist!"
Matt smiles back informing Tyson he had served in the army. After the nurses were finished, Aquiel covertly enters the medical bay as the nurses leave the room. While putting on a fresh pair of gray uniforms, Matt & Tyson despairingly ask Aquiel if she could help them escape. As they're determined to avoid the same fate as Dean & Clarke. Aquiel naturally thought a successful escape was impossible. And she was just an administrator with limited security access, and her colleagues wouldn't help her either.
Matt & Tyson inform her about 'Sky', and how the monsters were controlled through implants. Aquiel said she knew about the implants, but had no idea it was part of a classified military program. Matt asks Aquiel about any potential weaknesses in how the monsters were controlled. After thinking soberly about it, Aquiel mentions a notable incident that happened six months earlier, that was covered up by her boss Carl, who's Elon's right-hand man. That a freak lightning storm during one of the games had disabled some monsters implants. And as far as she's aware the issue hadn't been addressed.
They next brainstorm possible ways of jamming or overloading the implants by some other means. Which could provide a temporary distraction for them to escape. If they can't conjure up a lightning storm, then perhaps they could achieve the next best thing. Aquiel & Matt discuss ways of doing so using the B.T Tower, which is connected to a large antenna. That could potentially generate an electric surge large enough, to disrupt the implants on the monsters across most of London. But the distance would depend on the amount of power used.
Aquiel insinuates she could try to find out the implant frequency along with other security information. Which would be difficult, but not impossible. But she insisted she couldn't travel to the tower, because her absence would be noted by her colleagues who might report her. Matt & Tyson would have to do it somehow if they can escape. Aquiel suggested that some staff members at the B.T Tower could be tricked into disabling the implants. If they were told it was part of a 'security test' to probe any vulnerabilities on them.
Tyson remained silent before declaring "This is all pie in the sky stuff, what happens if it doesn't work, what's the backup plan?"
Following an awkward silence, Aquiel said she would need more time to think it through.
Tyson curtly replies. "We don't have time darlin."
Matt reassures Aquiel while asking Tyson what the alternative was. Tyson remained stoic as Aquiel informs them there was also a guarded wall that surrounded London. And there were armed troops deployed in strategic areas across the city as well.
"Sounds like our best way out of here is to die." Tyson remarks sarcastically.
Aquiel suddenly has a brain wave saying "I'll find a way of doing just that!"
As Matt & Tyson frown at her. She smiles wryly, asking them to believe in her, as she has some ideas and would try to come up with a proper plan. Aquiel then receives a private text message. Reading it, she says she was required back in the office. And would see them again later, and forewarns them to take care of themselves as she leaves the medical bay.
