Everything was white. No matter which way he looked at, it was bright and white. His eyes squinted when the itch he felt when the bright white assaulted his eyeballs, making his eyes watered. Then, he realized that he was floating, as if there was no gravity in that place.
It was like he was in a dream. No. This was definitely a dream. There was no way this kind of space existed in the first place, and he most definitely didn't know how to float!
Thump!
Thump!
Thump!
Something was pulsating. No. Calling?
But what was it?
It was not a sound that he heard. The area was eerily filled with silence. Very deafening silence. Still, the pulsating- no. Calling?
Whatever it was, it was certainly there, as if urging him to come closer. But he didn't know how. He was floating in place. He tried to move forward, flailing, swimming, struggling- nothing had worked. The white seemed had already covering him, like a blanket. A very, heavy blanket.
Thump!
Thump!
It was calling him again. There was a strange security within that quiet thumping sound. Or maybe it was not a sound after all. Anyway, that pulsating thing wasn't going to stop anytime. He wished that it wouldn't stop. If it does, he knew that wouldn't be good for him.
Finally, when he couldn't take it anymore, his brain started screaming in a very deafening sound. As if there was a mini whirlwind inside his head; though it was small, it was violent.
“I- I wanna see you...”
Thump! Thump!
“I WANNA SEE YOU!”
Suddenly, the scenery around him flashed and changed. The bright white had turned into a dark woods. Everything felt so real ー if only he was not still floating softly, defying gravity like he did within the white space.
However, unlike how the woods was supposed to be, it was quiet with no symphonies of any woods creatures echoing around him. It was weird, but if this was really a dream, guess it wasn't so weird at all.
At that moment, the pulsating calls were back.
Thump!
Thump!
This time, he could freely moved forward with slow and nearly steady floating steps. He could feel the thing. It was alive.
There was a tension to his muscles as he went closer and closer to the thumping ‘sound'. A surge of melancholy and nostalgia rushed into his head, making the brim of his eyes overflowed with warm, clear liquid as he went on closer to whatever thing that was calling him. His heart clenched in sorrow when he could feel the thing was right in front of him as if he was going to meet with his long lost twin.
Then, there it was. A peaceful purring sound was coming out of the throbbing lump of galaxy-like space. There were a bunch of small lights twinkling inside the dark matter, as if it were the stars itself bestowing its grace upon him. His hands reaching out away from him, but closer to the galaxy-like space. Right after the tips of his fingers sank into it, Hikaru could feel the warmth entering his body and enveloping his whole existence ー body and soul.
Tears flooding his eyes. He dropped to the ground, sobbing, crying, wailing without stopping, He felt longing, even though he didn't know why. But this warmth... this lump of galaxy was his. It was meant only for him. And this longing is breaking his heart.
Hikaru sat there and cried for who knows how long. When he came to, he was already inside his bedroom at Hyde's house.
His tears and sorrow, though, was still remained even though the dream ended.

Reese's house was a simple and small traditional wooden country house. It looked like it was built more than 50 years ago, but it was still looking strong and unshakeable. Hikaru was amazed at the beauty of the wooden house. Reese whose weight was supported by Hyde, carefully knocked on the wooden door.
“Granny! Gramps! I'm hoooome!”
The door was flying opened and a sweet looking elderly was smiling wide at them. His horns was big and spiralling like the horns of a ram and it looked cute on him. Hikaru thought that this granny must be a heartthrob when he was single and mate less. No. Scratch that. He was probably making heads turned wherever he went even after he was married.
“Oh my! Hyde's here too. And who's this adorable Fehu over here?”
Granny lovingly pinched Hikaru's chubby cheeks, causing a delightful giggle emerged from the boy's plump lips.
“Granny! Shouldn't you ask me how I'm doing first? I'm hurt!” Reese pouted while pointing his hand towards his leg cast.
Granny laughed and patted Reese's toned arm. “Why should I ask things that I've already know? You clearly looked fine and dandy,” he said before inviting the three boys inside.
Hyde helped Reese to sit on one of the couch next to the window. It was Reese's favourite spot to chill. Granny told them to wait for a few minutes and disappeared to the kitchen. When he came back, he was with an elderly Uruz with a stern facial expression who was helping him carrying the tray full of cookies and a pot of tea.
Hikaru quickly helped them set up the cups and the blue cookies (that was probably tasted like chocolate chips cookies) even though Granny told him to just let Granny do it. Gramps sat down besides Granny and stared at the new face who was sitting next to their grandson.
“Ah! I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? I'm Hikaru Aihara. I’ve been living with Hyde for nearly two months now,” informed Hikaru while giving the couple the sweetest smile.
The two of them swooned at how adorable the young man was, including Reese and Hyde. Reese cleared his throat and scratched his neck.
“Hikaru kinda is... Hyde's... Noon's... and my... Jiwa.”
Granny and Gramps shifted their gaze to Reese's face and saw the blush that was shading their only grandson's cheeks. They then looked at Hyde and Hikaru. Both of them also shaded in red. Granny and Gramps looked at each other in shock and grinned in joy. Granny covered his mouth and uttered the words “Oh my!” a few times, looking excited and happy for them. Meanwhile, there was a slight delight in Gramps eyes, although the rest of his face still looked stiff.
“Congratulations, for all of you! This really calls for a celebration! Next time, invite Noon to our house and I will cook all of your favourite food for the four of you-”
Granny was talking too fast for them to interrupt. Reese raised both of his hands to stop him, but it was futile. Granny was not going to stop. The boys turned to Gramps, but the old man just sitting there without making any noises except for his “Mm..” and he nodded to every words that Granny spouted.
“Now, Hikaru. Tell Granny what kind of food do you like. Do you like meat? Oh, you should eat veggies too! Gramps will caught a lot of fishes and we can grill them. Oh! We should do a barbeque party! Oh my! Oh my! There was so many fun things to do!”
Granny was like an excited mother who was planning for her kid's wedding. Hikaru took the initiative to stop Granny by holding his hands. That worked wonders. Granny stopped giving his ideas and shifted his attention to the small man in front of him. He gave the young man a warm smile and caressed Hikaru's cheek.
“Oh, you adorable little lad. How can you be so pretty and polite and kind? The boys were so lucky to have you as their Jiwa,” Granny said with a loving voice.
Hikaru smiled. “Oh no, Granny. I'm not that good,” Hikaru said sheepishly. He was so scared that Granny had gave him too many credits, more than he deserve. He was afraid to failed their expectations of him.
“Oh no, no. Granny had a pair of good eyes. I can see that you're a kind soul who always think of others before yourself. Don't sell yourself too short, my dear,” he gently brushed Hikaru's hair and pinched the boy's nose. That made Hikaru scrunched his nose automatically.
Reese and Hyde who was watching them found that reaction cute. Hikaru felt choked on his own tears. It was the first time someone had told him that and it made him touched. It was nice to hear that someone view him as a good person, but at the same time, he was sceptical. He didn't think that he was that good of a person. Deep down, he was afraid that he didn't deserve the compliments. However, for the kind Granny, Hikaru shut up his mouth and just accept the words that was given to him.
“If it's not troubling you, Hikaru will be here to nurse Reese back to health. I will be checking them from time to time, so if anything happens, I can inform Noon,” informed Hyde with a serious face.
“It's not like I really need any help...” mumbled Reese with pouty lips. He was not happy that people kept treating him like child who needed special attention from his guardians.
Granny slapped Reese's shoulder and said that Reese should be happy that there was someone who cared about him. Granny also said that this could be a chance to get to know his Jiwa better.
“It's not like I didn't like being with Hikaru! I like being with him! It's just... I looked uncool now, right?” Reese was muttering under his breath at the last bit of his words.
Hikaru and Granny laughed at Reese's childish words, while the others just grinned. Hikaru patted Reese's head while smiling softly.
“You're not uncool. Really. You just helped the citizens by exterminating the threats that could possibly harm more people, even at the cost of your life. Just where is the part of you being uncool?” Hikaru stared right into Reese's eyes. Reese felt heat rushing to his face, so he looked down at his feet, hoping that no one will notice his flushing red face.
Hyde chuckled at the two. Sometimes, he wondered which one of those boys were the older one.
