Sam, Colby and Jake had arrived at the school only 10 minutes before the first bell rang. The three boys chatted happily making their way to where their group usually hangs out. They saw everyone talking or on their phones so Jake decided to get their attention, “Hey guys!” The smile on his face was huge as he waved to their friends.

Kat was the first to greet them, saying hi to the two boys then giving her boyfriend a small peck on the lips. She smiled at him “Hey babe,” she said, pulling him into a hug. Her arms wrapping around his neck. His hands down to her waist as he buried his face in her neck and murmured out a hey babe, kissing her cheek.

Colby’s heart twisted in hurt as he watched the two in their embrace. Before he could think about it any longer Brennen had pulled him into a hug. That made Colby chuckle as he hugged the older back. The bell rang and suddenly the warmth of Brennen disappeared as the boy said a see ya later and rushed off to class and was replaced with a hand on his arm.

“You ok Colby?” It was Kevin who asked him that so the Boy simply nodded. Kevin nodded back and headed off to his own class.

As soon as the bell for lunch had rung Colby was out of his seat heading outside, going to sit in the bleachers where they usually sat. He was the first one which wasn’t even a surprise. He pulled out a vape and put it to his lips. Inhaling the exhaling. He shut his eyes for what he swore was only a second. “Colby! What the hell is that?” Brennen had yelled at him so loud the boy startled eyes flying open staring at the boy in front of him, then at the vape in his hand.

“Uhh. How did that get there?” He said nervously, chuckling not even trying to put the vape away.

Brennen snatched it away from him and scolded him until the rest of their friend slowly started coming.

Jake had gotten there last and saw what Brennen had snatched from the shorter boy's hand. “Hey!” Brennen yelled. Jake threw it back to Colby, he caught it luckily. Jake looked back at a very upset Brennen and just shrugged “Yolo, am I right?” Brennen shook his head in disappointment.

The group chatted happily afterwards. Katrina and Sam cuddling with one another. Griffin and Xepher holding hands and being all PDA. Reggie, Cassie, Aryia, and Kevin all sitting closely together off to the side saying stupid things. Colby was sitting in between Jake and Brennen. Colby barely even noticed the boys because he was too busy texting. Jake was talking with Tara when he heard Colby let out a small laugh. He peaked over to see what the boy was doing, but right as he did, Colby tensed up and whipped his head to look at jake. Their faces suddenly close to Colby jumped back bumping into Brennen. “Sorry Man,” Colby said. Brennen smiled slightly “Don’t worry ‘bout it bro.” Colby decided not to move away.
