A throbbing pain that was assaulting his head forced him to opened his eyes. He winced and hissed in pain as soon as a sharp pain stinging his head. His eyes were closing yet once again before he slowly peeled his eyelids open. The boy turned his head towards the window which located not too far from him. The bright light from before had already changed colour into reddish orange. It was very likely that he had spent a few hours sleeping.
He saw a lump of red hair was settling itself on the edge of his bed. That guy was sleeping soundly, not noticing that Hikaru was already awake. A slight curl formed on Hikaru's small lips. Reese must have been worried about him.
Hikaru recalled the conversation he had earlier with Noon, and that had made the throbbing inside his head becoming more intense. Hikaru placed his trembling hands on his stomach, the place where Noon's warmth was seeping through before. It was like the warmth had never leave him even though a few hours had passed. Was it Noon's mana?
Hikaru let out a helpless sigh.
“A womb...” he whispered. His irises were quivering in fear.
Before this, Hikaru thought lightly of the changes on his body. That was definitely his mistake from the start. When he found out that he had horns, it was shocking but he didn't think anything about it. It was not a big deal, really. After all, there were people like him, and it was definitely not a weird sight in Avalleon.
When he was told that he should marry four guys, he was so shocked. But still, it felt like it wasn't his problem. It wasn't like they would suddenly force him to marry a guy ー or in this case, FOUR guys. He remembered that he was amused when a protagonist in the manga or light novels that he read was dumped in a weird situation the author made just for the sake of the plot. It was entertaining at least.
At least, entertaining for a reader.
The reason was that, it was not real. It was just a fiction that was not going to happen in real life. People loved it because it was ridiculous.
Now that he himself experiencing this weird fantasy settings, it was all too much for his little head. What was it again? He is now a Fehu who could give birth to a human baby. H- how would it came out? Surgery? But, he had never heard doctors use any kind of methods involving surgery. He had read all kinds of medical books here, but there was no mention of that procedure. Everything were involving mana. Mana flow, mana control... Did they use mana to magically extract the baby out of the mother?
Haha... No way.
...
Wait a minute.
Before thinking about pregnancy and giving birth, s- shouldn't he think about HOW the baby was in there in the first place? He read plenty of BL fictions, but it was all censored by his generous friends. The girls somehow was touched by Hikaru's pureness and innocence apparently, so they only showed him the BL with no adult scene. But, Hikaru was even more curious. Unfortunately, the knowledge never reached him.
However, Hikaru was not an idiot. He kept on denying it, but... He had put two and two together and almost sure that it had to be-
“Why are your face flushed? *gasp* You're still sick, aren’t you?”
Reese who was already awoken, loudly called for Hyde and Noon. Hikaru fanned his reddish face which had becoming hotter each passing time. He reprimanded himself in his head for thinking about adult stuffs. Bad Hikaru! Bad!
Noon and Hyde whom scattered inside the room with worried face, suddenly expressed their relief when they saw Hikaru was okay. Noon placed his palm against Hikaru's forehead, his eyes was on Hikaru's flushed face.
“You don't have a temperature. But why does your face is so red?” Hyde asked while frowning his eyebrows. Hikaru shook his head in embarrassment.
How could he say that he was having an indecent thought? What would they think of him afterwards? No no no! He would never tell them that!
He took a glance at Hyde's worried face. ‘My Jiwa,’ Hikaru thought. His lips curled up. He didn't mind if it was him who he had to marry. He had always taking care of him. Hyde were also kind and never took advantage of him. His mana also saved Hikaru from having to slowly die due to him having too little mana. Then, a thought hit him.
Wait a minute.
Noon said that it was okay for him to be away from Hyde as long as he was with Noon or Reese. Then-
Hikaru turned his head too Reese. Reese raised his eyebrows in confusion. Hikaru then looked at Noon who was now busy checking Hikaru's pulse. Hikaru let out a long sigh while hiding his face behind his hand. How can he be so dense? Of course. Of course his other soulmates were here. What is this? Plot convenience?
Now that he knows... he surprisingly didn't feel bad at all! He didn't mind becoming Hyde's or Reese's or Noon's husband. Or, would he be called the wife? They were nice people. From what he saw after spending more than one month with them, they had never treated him badly. Hyde was gentle and kind. Noon was considerate and very ‘motherly’ looking at the way he was worried about everyone. Reese was a fun guy to be with. All of them cared about him and never pushed him to do something that he didn't like. They even cared about Hikaru, more than Hikaru cared about himself.
Yet, for the three of them to become his h- husband at the same time is kind of... strange? But he probably could get use to that. Having a... s- sexual intercourse with them...
Hikaru shuddered. No way! It was scary to think about that! He didn't even know how to do it with a woman! He never included that kind of topic in his reading materials because he thought that he had to become an adult first to read those kind of things. Yes. He was that idiot who would follow the rules “18 years old and above" instead of just breaking it for the sake of curiosity. Normally he would do anything to satiate his curiosity, but that was the only thing he felt guilty doing it.
He also didn't have any male friends. So, the topic never came out in his whole 16 years of his life. Although it did peek his curiosity... Just a little, though!
He was the type of guy who would sleep only with a person that he loves. Even if that person was a guy, he almost certainly could do it. Possibly. Um. Yup.
Being pregnant, though, was a probability that he could never think of before. Why should he? He didn't have any female reproductive organs before. The changes made him scared. It was like he didn't even know himself anymore.
What should he do now?
His thoughts was running so fast that it was overwhelming.
Hikaru's face was turning pale, even more than before.
“Are you really okay, Hikaru?” Hyde carefully sat on the side of the bed and gently touched Hikaru's leg from over the cover. Hikaru flinched. Hyde smiled and lifted his hand. Hikaru saw that disappointed face on Hyde and that made his heart ache. He felt so guilty. Tears welling up in his round eyes.
“I'm sorry... I'm sorry that I'm such a mess... I just don't know how to think. I'm scared...” Hikaru wailed, covering his face with both of his hands.
The sight of a confused and broken Hikaru broke the hearts of those three. Noon patted Hikaru's head while the other two was flailing around, not knowing what to do.
“I'm aware that you are scared, especially when it's not a usual thing in your previous world. But, you have the three of us. We will always there to protect you,” said Noon with a comforting voice.
Hikaru lifted his face and looked at Noon straight in his lemon eyes. “But, what if I'm changing too, not just my body? What will I become?”
Noon wiped the tears on Hikaru's eyes. “You will always be you. Nothing could take what’s inside you, even you yourself couldn't erase it. The trace of you would always remained inside you. And you know what? You have left your trace everywhere you've been. You've even left your trace within us.”
Hikaru sniffed. He shifted his eyes to each of the three guy's faces, one by one. He then redirected his gaze towards Noon. “How?”
“Didn't you know? Hyde was so smitten by you that he would probably flipped if you're not around. Which would be weird for the usually quiet and calm Hyde. Apparently, he’s still carrying the cute wolf keychain that you made for him last week. That was how he calmed himself down when he misses you at work.”
“Hey!” argued Hyde with a pinkish tint on his face. Hikaru giggled.
Noon glared at Reese and said, “Reese would noisily bothered me ever since you passed out earlier, asking me when you would wake up.”
“I was just worried...” Reese muttered while his lips did his usual pout.
“He even became more docile since you became his friend. Did you know that he usually did everything in his pace like a wild animal and now he is good at listening to others. Although it was only a little improvement,” Noon grinned at the pouty Reese.
“Even I, myself, had adjusted my lifestyle according to what you told me to do. I slept on time, for six hours in the least. I've never even missed any meals, thanks to you fixing my habits. Although sometimes my old habits kicked in... but it was becoming better,” said Noon, pinching Hikaru's adorable chubby cheeks. Hikaru scrunched his nose automatically.
“The changes within us is all because of you. These were the traces that you left us. When we had already changed, did you see us as a different person?” Noon raised his eyebrows, his bright yellow eyes was looking directly into Hikaru's dark eyes.
Hikaru shook his head. Looking at Hikaru’s calm expression made the three of them sighed in relief. Then, the boy look at them with a concerned face.
“Do you guys okay with me being your Jiwa? Even if I didn't know if I could marry you?” Hikaru timidly asked with a quiet voice.
The question stunned Hyde and Noon. They both looked at each other before Noon shifted his sight towards Hikaru. Hikaru was waiting for their answer with a lowered head and his fingers were fidgeting against each other. Noon placed his hands around Hikaru's and gently grasped the small hands together. Hikaru lifted up his head and stared into Noon's face timidly.
“I'm okay if you don't want to marry me. I only hope that you would allow me being by your side. That will be enough.” Hikaru saw the subtle sadness in Noon's eyes, even though the 22 year-old man was smiling widely.
“I’ll wait for you,” said Hyde. Hikaru turned his head towards the silver haired man. He gave Hikaru a determined gaze. “I’ve been waiting for my Jiwa ever since I was a child. I thought that if I find him, I will cherish and respect him. That's why, no matter how long it takes, I'll wait for you."
Hikaru was touched at the declaration. He felt bad for Hyde, but he felt good at the same time. Hikaru was hoping that someday, he would be able to reciprocate Hyde's feelings. They turned their heads towards Reese who was silently watching them.
“Hmm?” Reese lifted his brows, not knowing what was happening. “Why'd you guys look at me?”
A few seconds of silence. Until Reese finally realised what was going on. He pointed to himself.
“Eh?! Me too?!” he shouted in shock.
Noon sighed. “You just realized it now? Didn't I told you that Hikaru needed to be near his Jiwa to replenish his mana? That was why he was okay of being alone with you!”
Hikaru couldn't say anything because he, too, only realised it just a few minutes ago. Hikaru laughed awkwardly. Noon exhaled a long breath while massaging his aching head.
“That's why you need to pay attention, kid...” he muttered.
Reese shouted and blamed it all on Noon who was usually blunt, for being so discreet about that; and also to stop calling him kid. Noon was annoyed and told Reese that he needed to learn to take a hint, and he stubbornly said that he will call Reese with whatever he wanted to. On the other hand, Hyde as usual, tried to calm both of them down. He ruffled Reese's hair as if he was petting an angry pet. That made the grumpy Reese calmed down.
Hikaru laughed at the silly men. He wondered, would he be okay in the future with them as his husbands?
