“So...what is this place really?” I question, seeing the dampness in the hallway with faint moss embedded into the walls.
“Tunnels,” he states, making me roll my eyes, “well no shit, but like...what...do these...people do here?” I question, making him turn as I see a wooden door.
“How would I know? I just found this place, I just knew it was safe,”
“Right, yeah, safe. Not like they won’t just kill us in our sleep,” I snort, seeing him dig in his pocket; an old iron key in his hand, unlocking the door with a click.
He sighs slowly, looking at me, “I will protect you,” he says, a slow grin appearing on his face. I stare at him, scoffing as I run a hand through my hair, “I don’t need your protection,” I state as I push him out of the way; opening the door as I hear a quick latching noise.
Lupus grabs my arm, pulling me back as I see an arrow shoot through the crack of the door near where I was.
“See? Protection,” he hums. I stare at the door, “what the fuck man,” I huff, moving out of his grasp. He chuckles lowly, slowly pushing the door open as he looks around, “it’s all clear now, we both will be-”
“Both? No no, I am not stayin’ here with you,” I say, shaking my head.
“Ouch, but you have no choice. There are no other rooms,” he hums.
“Then I will sleep on the floor,” I huff and stay out of the room, popping my hip. He stars at me before shaking his head, “It’s a big enough room with two beds,”
“I don’t care, I don’t want-”
“We will be safe. Do you really want to sleep outside and on the floor in a weird place?” he asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
He has a point. I think before sighing, stepping inside before pointing at him, “you stay….away from me, don’t be weird and like...flirty,” I mumble. He blinks, chuckling after as he shuts the door, “Sure, if it will make you more comfortable,” he hums.
I nod slowly and look around, seeing two twin beds on each side of the room; lanterns keeping the room lit with one big desk and two dressers.
I guess it won’t be so bad...right? I press my hand against the bed, feeling how fast it dips. I nod slowly, looking at Lupus, “They will be lookin’ for us,”
Lupus blinks before turning, looking at me as he gives a lopsided smile, “So let them look,”
