I stare at him before I move away from him, glaring slightly, “What the hell, Sanguis!”
He blinks before he grins, “You said my name,”
“What does that matter? You trapped me down here!” I hiss, looking back to see fewer eyes than before. I blink and look around before a soft wisp whistles through the corridor; the flames seeming to relight.
Figures appear where the doors were, matching the eyes to the bodies; some of them women but most guys. I blink and look at all of them, noticing some of them from the missing posters from a few years ago.
I raise an eyebrow before looking back at Lupus, “these are-”
“They all did something the HeadMaster didn’t like, either during, before or after the tournament. They found this place,” Lupus says slowly, looking around as they shift their feet.
“Who is this lady?” One of them questions sternly, making my eyes snap to them. I see a guy with a purple mohawk, a scar going from his cheek to his eyebrow. I stare at him, his face flashing in my mind as I remember his poster from two years ago; Dunkel.
“That’s-”
“He wanted to come, he is at the top of his class. We can use him,” Lupus says, making me look at him as I raise an eyebrow, “Excuse me?”
“He can turn us in, there is no way is he comin’ out from the tunnels,” Dunkel snarls, a girl with bright green hair steps forward, “What’s your name?” she asks. Dunkel stares at her, “Tori-”
“Shut up, D,” she snaps, looking back at him before looking back at me, “Name?”
“Kyma, Kyma North,” I say as she tilts her head, “Kyma, when did you arrive at this...Academy?” She says slowly. I blink, rubbing the back of my head, “Four years ago,”
Dunkel’s eyes narrow slowly as his eyes glitter silver, “Four years, huh,” he says roughly. I nod slowly, my eyes snapping to him. Lupus steps closer behind me, his hands on my shoulders, “Let him gain your trust, and if he doesn’t then…” he trails off, glancing down at me, “I’ll kill him myself,” he says slowly; his eyes seeming to blacken more.
My eyes widen as I stare at him, he’ll kill me? He’s the damn one who even let me come! I think, my eyes narrowing. He winks slightly, hearing a grunt, “Fine, we’ll see what he has to offer,” Dunkel grunts.
I look at him as his jaw tightens before turning, opening the door before slipping in. I look at the girl named Tori as she gives a sympathetic smile, “he can be….a little on the cranky side,” she says, hearing a snicker and a snort following; seeing some of the others going in where they came from.
I nod slowly as she tucks her hair behind her ear, turning as she opens the door before slipping inside. I turn quickly, glaring at Lupus, “You shut the door on me,”
“You seemed like you could have handled yourself,” he says, putting his hands up as he gives a lopsided smile. I stare at him before punching him in the side, making him wince before raising an eyebrow.
“And what was that for?”
“To get that damn smile off of your face,” I huff. He blinks before chuckling, “Right, right. I’ll give you a free pass this time. Now, c’mon,” he hums, starting to walk to one of the doors. I watch him before quickly following him, Can’t believe I’m followin’ him again. I must truly be an idiot. But I don’t want to look like an idiot just stayin’ there. I think and sigh.
