Lupus stops, crouching as I stand behind him; seeing him lift up a fallen part of a tree. He grunts before quickly letting it go, it falling away from where it was before. I jump back a bit as he glances back at me, chuckling before he threads his fingers through the grass before he stops; humming in satisfaction.
I tilt my head as he seems to grab the grass, pulling it up as I hear a soft clicking noise; seeing what looks like a chamber door open. I blink and step closer, looking down to see complete darkness before seeing a small wisp of orange flame at the bottom.
Lupus glances at me before looking around, “you go down first,” he says slowly. I blink, looking at him, “what?”
“Go down first,”
“But...do I just...like jump down? Or is there a ladder?” I ask, looking back down.
He sighs and puts hand on my shoulder, “just trust me, it isn’t a big jump,”
“Um, yes it is cus I can’t see what’s down there,”
He looks at me, seeing annoyance on his face. I stare at him, biting my lip before peering down at the hole. The flame seems to dance as I move closer. I feel his hand press on my lower back, making me tense before jumping down.
I suck in a sharp breath, feeling the quick wind blow through my hair before I feel my feet touch the ground quickly. I land on my knees as I blink rapidly, what...
I look around as I see the tiny flame bounce and flicker, seeing stone walls along with a dirt floor. I stand slowly as I look around, licking my lips before I look up. I see Lupus's eyes glowing out from the darkness.
I feel a sharp pain in my stomach before I see the door close quickly. My eyes widen as I look at it, darkness encasing me except the small fire.
“Lupus!” I yell, “Lupus! Let me out!” I yell louder. My own voice seems to echo off the walls, making me look around as I lick my lips quickly, I knew I shouldn’t have trusted him. I think as I slowly head to the fire.
I see it’s hooked on a small ring, seeing it’s a torch. I bite my lip before I lift it up, taking it from it's holding placement as I move it around.
I see mold growing on the walls as I chew my lip, why did he...I think before I inhale slowly, don’t freak out. I think, nodding to myself.
I start walking slowly as the fire continues to dance, casting a small painted shadow of me on the stone walls. I walk through, looking around slowly as I see mold and moss growing; the corners of the walls decorated with cobwebs as they seem to float on their own.
I look down as the ground seems to cake my black shoes and jeans. Great. I think before glancing up, seeing an old wooden door with a holding ring for a torch.
I slowly set the torch on the ring, putting my fingertips onto the knob. The cold dampness to it bites my fingertips, making me tense before I turn it slowly. The sound of a gentle squeaking follows as I pause, looking at the door. I open the door slowly, seeing a bigger room with torches already lit.
I sigh quickly as I look around, seeing a feast table with chairs; the torch fires flicking and dancing along the walls. Three more doors decorate the stone walls as the thick air creates a lump in my throat.
I step in slowly as I look at the doors, what is this place? I think before a big gust of wind whips through the door; making the fires whip out quickly. I tense as the door behind me slams shut, making me move forward.
What is this? I think as my eyes adjust quickly, looking around as I see different colored eyes peering at me where the doors were. I tense and stumble back, feeling hands on my shoulders. I freeze before I look back slowly, seeing Lupus peering down at me.
