Kye started wandering around Victor.
"Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh..."
Victor wrapped his arms around Kye to get him to stop speed walking.
"What's wrong, my mate?"
"You're wolf is midnight blue, right?"
"Yeah. Why does it matter?"
"You're the wolf in my dreams! It all makes sense now! Your eyes are the same as his. How did I not see it?"
"Dreams? You have the same dreams?"
Kye nodded. "All I see is a wolf, with the most sophisticated eyes I have ever seen. They match yours!"
Victor, not one for catching on to things, was still confused.
"I don't see a wolf in my dream."
Kye did a face plant into his hand.
"What I'm saying, Victor, is that we have interlocking dreams." Kye looked at their twinned hands in an example.
"What does that mean? I've never heard of that happening before."
"I don't know. We'll have to research it when we get home," Kye winked at Victor, waiting to see if he caught it.
"Yeah I suppose. Wait- did you just say home?!"
Kye smiled at him, hoping he wouldn't be upset.
"You want to stay with us?"
"Is that okay? Or...?"
Victor lifted him out of nowhere, spinning him around in his arms.
"You'll stay! I can't wait for you to meet my parents and all the kids your age. You'll love it there!"
"Why do you say kids my age? How old are you Victor?"
"Um.. yeah about that..." Victor scratched the back of his neck, nervous for his reaction.
"I'm thirty."
"Wow. You look twenty three max!"
"You look fourteen, no offense."
"I am NOT a child. I'm a mated seventeen year old, wise beyond my years."
Kye put an indignant look on his face, arms crossed, and chin up.
Victor started laughing and he couldn't stop.
"Hey! It's not funny, old man!"
"Ouch. That stings, youngster."
They both smiled and laughed, and Kye knew he wouldn't trade this for the world.
"I love you, my big bad wolf."
"I love you too, my little kitten."
