After having a mostly peaceful sleep, Kye woke up nestled in his mates chest, craving his never-ending warmth. Kye let out a loud purr as Victor squeezed him tighter, and he woke up to Kye's hair up his nose.
"A-achoo!"
"Bless you," Kye said to him. "But did you need to sneeze in my hair?"
"Sorry babe, your hair was in my face. Though it smells really nice," Victor ended his sentence by snuggling up in his mate's hair, inhaling to scent of his favorite baked goods.
"I'm glad you think so. What's our agenda for today, my big bad wolf?"
"Well I was planning to go along the river until- Wait what did you just call me?"
Kye laughed. "You call me kitten. You are my big, bad wolf, following me through the woods, trying to eat me."
Victor was very confused. "I'm not trying to eat you."
"You sure 'bout that?," Kye said, a slight blush rising in his cheeks for saying something so forward.
"I still don't get what you- ooooohhhhh. You pervert." Victor still laughed, grateful for such a funny mate.
"While I would love to eat you, we should get on our way."
Kye was still giggling at his joke, but got up and put their clothes in the carrying bag they had.
"Where are we going?," Kye was giggling in between words.
"I was thinking we could follow the river until we get to my pack-"
"Are you sure I have to meet your pack? We can just find a new one, or, better yet, we can be rouges!"
"Why don't you want to meet my pack? Mom and Father will love you, and I'm sure you'll settle right in. Everyone will love you!"
"That's what I'm worried about, Victor! Don't you see? Everyone I love leaves me, and so will you."
"I will never leave you. Why are you so worried?"
"I c-can't tell you. They would hurt you too."
"Who would? No one will ever take you away. No one. Who is making you worry like this?"
Victor cuddled him into his lap, petting his head to put him at ease, minding his ears.
"If I tell you, you can't go after them, okay?"
"Okay."
