Who was closer to Shadewing’s little family than he? Why he was the one who’d allowed Feather to become Shadewing’s protégé. The Smiling Man, after all, had created the job opening when he killed the previous Feather. Seeing the current Feather would make for quite a happy reunion, especially since the Smiling Man hadn’t killed a Feather in a really long time. Nothing made Shadewing mad quite like a Feather mask splattered in the kids blood. Hahahaha!
