While that ending joke landed years ago when I wrote it, few jokes hit so well this week. I know the tone shift from joke to BLM was quick, but I wanted to make a statement. I'm also pretty aware the "don't lecture me" line may come across as ironic, but my BLM message is one of good intention; not lecture.

(if you're curious about the quote: Pedogogy of the Oppressed - https://www.google.com/books/edition/_/oKQMBAAAQBAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&pg=PP1 )
After the naïve self-proclaimed pacifist Kittian Jehda violently loses someone important to her, an incident she and everyone else insists is her fault, she feels the need to distract herself. She abruptly joins her second government-sponsored tour, a program to expose the citizens of “the cities” to a career of their choice. However, instead of taking another research tour, she uncharacteristically decides to take the military tour. She meets five others who would change her life forever, and she theirs.
Follow the team as they travel the world of the 2260s to learn about the cities’ military, a little more about themselves, and that something from the past is trying to catch up with them…
