Delilah and Tom - Present
- It’s unthinkable to me that people consider buying clothes a hobby... - Delilah puts what she tried on, on the top of the pile of clothes at the entrance to the fitting room. - This thing doesn't fit me and I don't know how to wear this. - Thomas smiles and hands her more tops.
- Try these and don't pout, Dede, we're just starting. It's time to make grown woman out of you.
Delilah looks at the different pieces that the blond teacher hands her and as soon as she grabs them, she roughly turns them over. Pretending disgust, the woman slowly pulls one blouse out using two of her fingers like they were tweezers.
- Do you really think I will ever use this color? - she sticks her tongue out as if she is going to puke.
Thomas catches the white item before it hits him full in the face and laughs for already predicting that reaction.
- I still hope that one day I will be able take you away, dressed in white… a beautiful bride... cranky, but beautiful.
They never enter into a church for any ceremony, much less to attend a union between two people. In the eyes of the believers, Thomas and Delilah are not well regarded and do not deserve to be there. Throughout their different lives, both go to church to feel the silence. Sometimes together, sometimes alone ... Whenever they enter this space, they feel light. Light, free from guilt and regret. Being there, sitting in that empty immensity, makes these moments solemn and sacred. Today will not be one of those days. Today is a day to get lost... actually a night to get lost...
